  2. I have a 9mm in the 3" model and my son has the .40 in a 4 ". Excellent pistols. No problems and I like the additional grip safety. Can't be too safe these days.
  3. Coah J. I'm with you GO VOLS
  4. Has anyone had any experiences with these barrels, either good or bad. I'm looking to get a barrel for my Encore and like the prices on these. Mainly are they accurate and safe. Thanks
  5. Re: Scopes I know the Nikon Omega wasnt on your list. I just got one. Its clear as can be and the 5" eye relief is absolutely great. Especially if you shoot magmum loads. Plus you have the BDC if you shoot long ranges. Definitely worth the extra $5o bucks.
  6. Re: silver skin Hows the fastest and easiest way to get the silver skin off without wasteing too much meat? Do you let the meat cool or be partially frozen ?
  7. Re: Arctic Shield clothing Thanks for the info guys. Leo, what clothing do you wear underneath ie..long johns, different layers..etc. that makes it too hot to walk in ?
  8. Re: TC Pro Hunter I just got the standard Encore like bigmoss. Camo stock and SS barrel with the new Nikon Omega BDC scope. So far I've been very satisfied.

  14. Re: PR Dead Centers!!!! (THANKS qt2003) gator..... what load of APP do you use? Is it as clean as they say
  15. Re: American Pioneer Powder Does the American Pioneer compare to 777 or Pyrodex as in velocity? Volume for Volume should be the same.
  16. Re: PR Dead Centers!!!! (THANKS qt2003) AJ and Greg.... Thanks for all the good info. I think I'm going to start with the 220 grain Dead Centers or maybe the 240 gr, then try the QT40's. Will be trying loose 777. I understand its about 20% hotter than pyrodex. Any thoughts to the American Pioneer powder? Is it as hot as 777 or more like pyrodex? Thought I might give it a try. Again thanks
  17. Re: PR Dead Centers!!!! (THANKS qt2003) AJ or qt2003.... Just put an Encore in layaway so I will be shooting sabots this season for the first time. I have read interesting things about the Dead Centers and the QT bullets. What are the differences of the two? Advantages....Disadvantages How are they to load? This is a bullet I plan on Checking out. Right now looking at the 240 grain one. Does it make a difference in a .40 or a .44? Any help will be greatly appreceiated. Thanks
  18. Re: Millenium Stands Cntrybycrf.... From all I've heard about this stand is that it's the most comfortable lock-on made. Pricey for a lock-on. You can get more than one receiver so you can place them on several locations and then all you have to do is tote the stand in and insert it into the slot. From what I have heard they are very stable as well as comfortable. You can check them out on msdeer.com. I plan on buying one as soon as they come in.
  19. Re: Encore 300WM handgun range report! (pics) Shawn, How does the 7mm-08 shoot? I'm looking into getting an Encore and that's the chamber I'm looking at. What kind of recoil does it have? I'm new to pistol hunting?
  20. Re: My Personal Battle Luke....Keep up the good work. I smoked from 15 till I was 40. Have been smoke free for the last 12 years. It's a tough thing to do, but its a very rewarding accomplishment. Right now you can only imagine the benefits but they will amaze you. Not only for you but your entire family. As a side incentive, take what you would spend for your "Old Habit" and put the money in a jar. Won't take it very long and you'll finance your "Good Habit - HUNTING". Nothing like a new gun or bow for incentive. Again Congrats
  21. Re: Hellllooooo Hey, New to Realtree forums too. Have enjoyed just reading some of you guys posts on handguns. Very informative.
