    Question

I recently obtained a mount of a 9-point buck, done in 2002. The mount itself is beautiful with one exception. The inside of the ears are turning yellow. Is there anything I can use, or do to bring the white back? The owner of the mount had it hanging in the garage.

  6. Re: Southern Ohio sheds So far this year I've found 3 sheds, in Southwest Ohio. Nothing real big. Still seein' some big boys still packin'! It's only a matter of time!

    Question?

Re: Question? The buck scores around 135", give or take. He had a thick neck, and the proverbial "roman nose" of an older deer. So it's gonna take a larger size cape for sure. The other option I was thinking is contacting a couple taxidermists after the huntin' season to see if they have any unused or extra capes. BTW, I live in Southwest Ohio, we have more than enough deer around these parts, so hopefully I can find a cape that'll match, or at least come close.

    Question?

This past Oct. I shot a decent buck, turned out to be a bad arrow placement. I did however recover the deer two weeks later. By then, of course nothing was left but the antlers. I tagged the buck ( 11-point), and cut the skull cap off. I am wanting to get the buck re-caped. My question is what is the average cost? I heard it can be as much as getting a regular mount done. And since this is my first real "antlered buck", any suggestions on how to have it mounted? Sneak, Semi-sneak, turned?

  12. I'm finding myself with an adbundance of Jalapenos, Hungarian, and soon Habaneros Peppers in my garden. Does anyone have a recipe on how to pickle these. I'm certainly gonna have more than I can handle, and I don't want them to go to waste. Thanks!!
