I ordered the min-ladder (20') from Sportsman's Guide some years ago and it's still up against the tree! Still sturdy and in good shape! That's a good deal you have there! You ultimately get what you pay for but what I paid for it, I got more than I paid for.

What am I supposed to do now? If I get a turkey I guess I won't be able to show my grandaughter! She saw my decoys in the van and I thought she'd be scared but she wanted me to get them out. Cool pics but sorry about the feeder. What do they grasp onto with their nails to climb that pole? I assume it's metal?

Went out this morning before work and didn't hear one gobble! Had five deer milling around the decoys and I think wondering why they weren't moving. Well, they finally went up the hollow and were probably 50-75 yard sup so I used my slate call to try to convince them they were real. All of a sudden they come trotting back down the hill towards the decoys! I think I'll try that during deer season! lol

I didn't give them mine and they were calling almost every day for awhile. He acted all friendly and wanted to know how my hunting season went,etc.like he really cared. He just wanted to sell me the package which I refused again and again. The finally got the message as they stoppped calling. Getting a little annoying after a few times in a row.

My wife is great about it and she also knows how much it means to me. I live hunting year round and she's fine with it. She doesn't like to hunt nor does she like venison but she's okay with me doing all the practicing and preparing and Gander Mtn visits. I am a very blessed man indeed! She's also fine with me doing a lot of flyfishing during the warmer months. I work long, hard stressful hours as a manager for a large physicians office and she knows these activities are a great stress relief for me. Well, at least the fishing is, I'm pretty intense when I hunt.

Just got back from Baltimore from seeing "The Phantom of the Opera". I bought tickets for my wife's birthday because she loves it and I must say, it is a really great opera! We saw it before in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago. Stopped in at Bass Pro today before we left and that's just a cool place to shop! Anyone ever see the "Phantom"?

What does everyone use or suggest for oil for bows that is odorless? I had some Rock It Outdoors oil that I've had for a long time and can't find it anymore. Suggestions?

I'd like to get into sausage making and smoking sausage. I saw a Brinkman Smoker at Wal-Mart for $37.00. I don't want to make a big investment until I see that I'll stick to it. Is that a good smoker? Pros and cons?

I finally switched to the QAD Ultra Rest HD and it shoots really good. My groups have improved and the bow seems quieter and less 'slap' when I release the arrow.

That's what I use for both turkey season and deer season. Also use the Streamlight Buckmaster Realtree flashlight with the green light. Work great!

I just bought two trace mineral blocks from Tractor Supply today for $5.49 each (50 lbs each). Like I said in an earlier post, the deer in our area really hit them all spring, summer and part of the fall.
