Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 congrats on the gun. i just got one from wally world about 2 weeks ago and love it, and i agree the 3.5 shells kick like a mule. the second day of shooting it i was hurting pretty bad from the previous day so i filled the stock with bb's to add some weight and it works great. of course im not going to have them in their for hunting though because I cant feel a thing when i fire at a real target.

Re: Did you see this on Realtree home page i agree with what you guys are saying but when did 209 primers become primitive. not that i wouldnt like to have one of those. i think it would be pretty cool. -
hey guys i recently purchased a mossberg 835 and was wondering what some of you other guys are shooting out of the mossberg choke, and some other choke and sheels suggestions also. i tried some winchester supreme 3.5 5 shot and wasnt all that impressed so any suggestions would be appreciated. thanxs

Re: help, mossberg 835 or 535 yea i got it wednesday and i love it. whom ever is considering getting a new shotgun for turkeys you have my vote for the 835.

Re: help, mossberg 835 or 535 thanxs guys i think im gonna get the 835 tomorrow. that is if wally world has some left. yippeeee

Re: help, mossberg 835 or 535 thanxs aj im glad you told me that because that was a big part of the reason for wanting to get a new shotgun for turkeys. my current gun doesnt pattern like i would like it to, even with 3 different chokes and several different loads.
-
hey guys i need some advice. if given the choice of these two guns what would you choose. the 535 comes with 24 and 28 inch barrel, red dot scope, and a couple of chokes. the 835 comes with just a 24inch barrel and a xx-full turkey choke. i plan to use it mostly for turkeys but i was just wondering what you all have to say. oh yea and they are around the same price.

Re: ar bows i have an ar-35 and i love it. feels great in my hands, shoots great, and it didnt break the bank. it was either the ar-35 or a switchback. to me the ar just felt better the whole draw cycle. but thats just me, shoot one and you may feel otherwise but i love mine.

Re: Car or Truck? i have the best of both worlds, a camaro and a truck. well not actually a truck its an 89 full size jimmy but i think of it as a truck but anyway i dont think i could live without my jimmy. ( lol ) The jimmy is my daily driver and i love it. go with the truck, and if you have a choice get a GM "wink wink"

Re: what to do in the off season i plan to shoot, fish, and tinker with my 500hp/450 ftlbs of torque 89 camaro i call her my "rally super sport" hence the user name, i hate imports with their big coffee can mufflers.

well to make a long story short i missed a good sized doe early this mourning (11-11-06) with my smokepole. about how long should i let this spot rest so the deer willl come back and i can try again? rifle starts 11-17-06 so should i wait till then or do you think i may have some luck before? this was the first chance i had all year to harvest a deer and i blew it, i am about to blow my top.

Re: accuracy problem yea i second the shockwaves, i tried hornady, powerbelts and some others in my muzzleloader and the shockwaves works great. the powerbelts did well to but a little to exspensive for me. i am also shooting 100 grans of pyrodex pellets out of a cva buckhorn

Re: used ar-34 or new fred bear element you are right hunter casey, not that the bow would be bad its just that i dont see how it could be as good as the instinct since it is less. although how much better could it be for 100 buxs.......hmmmm. well it didnt work out at the bow shop anyway, it was gone when i got their. but i have a new question. i think i plan on just sticking with the bow i have now for the rest of the season but the pro shops new bows are on sale so i think im going to put one on layaway. what do you guys think between a new ar-35 or mathews ld or xt? Or if you where in my position would you just get the element and call it a day?
-
Re: used ar-34 or new fred bear element thanxs guys i think i will try to get the ar-34 and by the way switchback the element is the cheaper of the new fred bear bows. i think the instinct is the next step up from the element so i figurede it would be worse.

Re: used ar-34 or new fred bear element great thanxs dogdoc for your help, ok then one for the ar-34 any others with some input?
-
hey guys whats going on. just wondering if you had the choice to get a used but in great shape ar-34 or a brand new fred bear element which would you get? i am thinking about buying either of these this week and need some input from people, that own or have shoot these bows. they are both 300 bucks and the both seem to feel good to me but i might can get the ar-34 slightly cheaper because it is at my local pro shop and the owner might knock a little off the price if i trade my bow in. while at the same time i would be going to dicks sporting goods to buy the element at full price. any suggestions would be great thanxs.
-
Are the nap mechanical spitfire and killzone any good? they are both on sale here at dicks so i was wondering what everone thought of them before i spent the money. if these arent worth it could someone suggest some good heads that fly great they yall have had luck with, by the way im shooting muzzy 4 blades now so anything but that. thanxs
-
well yesterday and earlier today i was shooting feild points at 20 yds and they seem to be shooting well then i decided to sight in my broadheads that i will be using for hunting but thay are not shooting well at all. the arrows i have are carbon express terminator hunters fletched with blazers and topped of with muzzy 4 blade 100gr. heads what is my problem i just cant get them into 3in circles on my target. do you think its the arrows i bought from wally world or the broadheads. and its not like they are consistantly shooting low or shooting high, some will be low, high, left, or right they are just all over the place. either way i need some help thanxs guys.

Re: when i site in for 20yd, 10yd pin is off again yea i did at the end of sighting in my 20yd pin, im such an idiot i didnt think of that. are yalls 10 and 20yd pin sitting basically on top of each other because mine are, there probably isnt 1/64 of an inch between them. is that normal? -

Re: when i site in for 20yd, 10yd pin is off again its shooting a little low/down -
Hey guys, i have a question. i have a three pin site and was planning on doing 10,20, and 30yd pins so i had the 10yd pin sited in great then i move on to 20yd and i get it pretty well sighted but then i will go back to shooting 10 yd and the sight is off again, whats going on with that, is that one of those things that is going to happen no matter what? maybe its just my shooting, me being a beginner and everything. any help would be great because it is really bugging me. thanxs
