  1. Thanks for all of the input. Right now, I am hoping to go to New Brunswick.
  2. I am looking to book and archery spring bear hunt for next year in Canada. I have never been before What are some things thatshould be taken into consideration that is often overlooked? I knowI will need a passport, anything else?
  3. Hoyt Katera and Hoyt HavocTec. Would not consider shooting anything less!!
  4. I usually start at 20yds, and shoot rounds of 3-4 arrows, then I will vary distances, odd distances 33yds, 27yds etc. I will also vary the angles on my 3D target. SOmetimes I even bring it in veyr close (under 10yds) which iharder to hit than it seems.
  5. I use a Carter Insatiable 3. It is a back tension/thumb trigger release. I clip it to the string while I'm in tree stand. Work great. Does take some getting used to if you only used trigger release before.
  6. They shoulde be able to order it. I have seen it in that pattern and I agree it looks sweet.
  7. I have an X-Box system (not 360), controller and with approx 25 games, mostly action, sports, hunting/fishing etc. This also incudes the remote for DVD use $75 OBO TYD
  8. I think part of the problem isn't just the people putting out these lies, but the people towards whom it is directed. Too many of the population can't even find their city, or in some cases the state in which they live, on a map. They do not hunt, or even know about hunting. The media is biased as to what they put out, and is usually against RESPECTABLE hunters. The only time you hear about hunters is when they do something stupid. I view most of the animal rights groups like I do Jesse Jackson or (Rev?) Al Sharpton. They make a lot of noise without knowing/caring about the facts, but do very little otherwise to remedy the problem. Most people don't realize that hunting/conservation groups like Ducks Unlimited do more for animal conservation, population contol, environmental preservation etc than ALL other "animal rights groups" combined.
  9. Still archery season here on Long Island till end of Dec. 2nd rut is kicking in. Hoping for some luck next couple of weeks
  10. I agree, go to the state level and kinda drop the hint that this will get "leaked" to the press that they REFUSE to do anything about this.
  11. I shoot the FMJ 400s, 31", with 100gr broadhead. I do notice drop off, but not until 40yds. In fact I use my 20yd pin out to almost 30yds, and my 30yd pin to almost 35-36 yds. I am shooting Hoyt Havoctec at about 250fps. Great penetration too.
  12. I gotta work in the am , I am hoping to sneak out early for a pm hunt. . Sat morn I will b in my stand at sun-up!!
