  1. Just got back from the NE corner this afternoon. Supposed to rain for the next 2-3 days. Not sure where you hunt but we had no flooding this weekend. They were definitely on the move. 2 buddies got bucks that should push 160 and another one got a 140 class. I wasn't so lucky buy I have next weekend and many after that!
  2. I have been getting lots of pics of this wide 10 and recently this nice 8 showed up. What do you think they will score?
  3. so you are saying a buck decoy with light rattling will spook the bucks? I thought it might, but with the sparring I have seen I thought it might work or at least not hurt. I don't care about does or small bucks, I am only after 2 mature bucks.
  4. I have been getting good trail pics of 5 bucks. I have one pic of a nice 10 sparring with a fork horn and I have some pics of a different 10 pt with a broken brow tine and G3. I am getting no daytime pics so I moved in closer to the bedding area. I went out and bought the Primos Scarface and I want to use it this weekend with some real light rattling/grunting. I wouldn't think of doing it this early but with the broken tines on the smaller 10 pt they are obviousy doing a little more than playing at this point. I have found some active scrapes, so I made a mock scrape about 30 yards from my stand. Do you all think the decoy and rattling is a good idea or bad? If I don't get one of these bucks now chances are 2 of them will be gone b/c it is a very small area and I don't see it holding all 3. I am in MO.
  5. Had a biscuit and liked it. Now I have a QAD and I love it!!!!!
  6. I bought some cabela's lazer strike supremes a few years back, but couldn't shoot them b/c my bow was too out of tune. Now I have a perfect set up and I love the broadheads. Used same broadhead last year on a nice buck and a doe with clean pass throughs on both. Great thing about the broadheads is they are around $20 for 6. I am buying more this summer. Check them out on Cabela's website, they are a good value and hold up real well.
  7. I do all of my practice shooting from my deck which is 8 ft off the ground. My yards slopes away from me so on my 30, 40 & 50 yard practice shots it is about the same as being 15-20 feet up. I have never had a problem with it. One day right b4 season started I practiced from the ground and was still on. The deck is a heck of a lot easier than climbing in and out of a ladder stand like I used to.
  8. On 61 between Canton and Wayland.
  9. Heading up to our farm in NE Missouri this weekend and the forecast is AWSOME! Everybody else heading out?
  10. Anyone have any info on when they are coming out?
  11. Going to get rid of my WB this year. Anyone use the QAD Ultra Rest or Ripcord arrow rest?
  12. My buddies and I are looking for a hunting lease in northern Missouri. Any size would be considered. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  13. I need a new string b4 next year, any ideas on the best brand for the money. I looked into Winner's Choice, but they seemed a little high. I remember a post on here a while back about a guy that sells quality strings online, anyone have info on him? Thanks
  14. I am thinking about switching from my WB to a fall away rest. Give me some input on which fall aways you all like the best. Thanks.
