  1. He's gonna be a good one.
  2. I like the big hooks myself.
  3. This is a awesome thread! My dad is 62 years old and I don't have any pics uploaded of him hunting or fishing either, but I'm telling you this thread brings back many great memories. I'm 39 years old and started hunting with him when I was 12 or so. I always remember thinking he was like superman or something climbing the mountains without stopping to take a break and not even break a sweat doing it! As the years rolled by and I was in my 20's I still couldn't figure out how he made it look so easy when it was rough at times on a guy my age. Once I hit 30 he was starting to get a little slower, but still wanted the lead as we headed toward our stands and he would take a break from time to time. Now, for the last few years he has said you go in front so I wont slow you down. I just tell him that I'm in no hurry and he needs to go in front so I won't get us lost. Many times I've choked back tears because I could hear him breathing hard and struggling to climb a hill, but to be honest there's no deer in this world that will ever take the place of time spent in the woods with my dad. He still goes just about every time I do and I cherish every moment of it!
  4. The Southern Hunting Forums( A small hunting forum that I started in 2002) Kentuckyhunting.com Realtree Primos Cabelas
  5. About a month ago a state trooper here in Ky shot and killed two hounds. They were treed near his house and he said that they started to attack him when he went outside. I've also heard that they were keeping him awake and that was the reason. I just don't see two hounds with a coon treed coming off the tree to attack the first person coming to them with a light!
  6. I'll go with the Primos Truth dvd's. I really like all of their prostaffers and they seem very sincere in what they do and believe.
  7. They're all over the place around here and they are good.

Glad to see ya stop by Michael. We'll be awaiting the launch of the website!
  9. Yep, add me to the list. I've even used a two seater.
  10. I hate you!!! LOL Seriously she is a great singer and I'd jump at the chance to meet her.....Congrats!
  11. I think a lot of the show is set up for shock value, but I agree he does give some useful tips. At the begining of each episode he says that there is a camera crew that follows him, so I kinda figured that. I'm still not completly sold on the fact that survivorman is alone either. I can't imagine setting up camera's and walking out of sight just to have to turn around and come back and get them. I also read on one of his blogs when he was in Africa that his safety crew was 75yds away with rifles in case he ran into trouble. I admit I enjoy both shows though.
  12. I've never had the chance to hunt there, but I'm invited on a trip this fall and may take it if work don't get in the way. Several year ago my uncle killed a 14 pt with a nice droptine in there and I always hear of some good ones being taken every year. Good luck!
