Re: some more southern md bucks they are all from last year and they are still around this year. we have some of them on the wildlife eye this year, but we had the cuddyback on different farms. i ll try to post some of them later.

i went and scouted a ridge that has produced a lot of acorns in the past today. when i got there i found about a dozen scrapes and some real nice rubs. acorns are everywhere like i thought, and obviously the deer are too. i will be there tomorrow evening waiting for the big one that got away from me the other day.

Re: finally got one! i dont have any pics of the doe, but i just posted some pics of some of the bucks from last year in the photography forum under "some more southern md bucks". they are all last years because this year we got them on the wildlife eye.

Re: Who\'s holding out.... i've seen some pretty nice bucks around some of the areas i hunt this year. a few over 140 easy. i want one of those but a 125 inch 8 pt is going to be hard to pass. i ve seen some of them too, and they look pretty young, one more year for them would be nice.

got out late this evening so i decided to just sit a ladder stand i have set up on the edge of a food plot. after about 45 minutes i had a button buck come in front of me. it fed for about twenty minutes and finally walked off. about half hour later i had two little ones and a big doe come out. my trigger finger was itching anyway, so i decided to take the doe. 25 yards and slightly quartering away, couldn't ask for a prettier shot. i settled my 20 yard pin a little high, and wouldn't ya know it, hiy her right where i was aiming my 20 yard pin, just a little high. luckily i took out the top of both lungs and she only went about 80 yards and piled up.she didn't bleed a lot because of the high hit, but it did the job. this is the third doe we've taken off my farm this year and no bucks. hopefully, this will make the rut a little better. i've got some pics of some nice bucks runnin around here.

Re: Almost had him its pretty thick around my stand and cant hear much with the leaves the way they are (not real crunchy yet) and it was an hour before dark. didnt expect him that early

i had a nice 8 or 9 point about 10 yards away from me this evening. it was probably high 130's. i went to grab my bow of my e-z hanger and it ran off. it smelt me. it sucked. but u can guarantee i will be out there again tomorrow

Re: maryland bow hunters. i'm from southern md here. went out three times over first two days. saw some does and little bucks. i've seen a few nice ones around, so i'm holding out
