Acorn rage 36 pics in one night two bucks many does all chose acorn rage over the real acorns scattered all over naturally. This was last weekend.

Camera Up north photos last weekend still had bucks in bachelor groups, lot's of sign popping up.

Evidence Saw some scrapes and rubs in north central WI, not much day time movement though, this cold weather should get them moving more.

Just made the change I just made the switch to Montec from Muzzy's. Very impressed so far, They fit better on the narrow carbons too, I think that is why I wasn't too happy with the flight of my muzzys.

no way No,but I have seen some palm trees growing in them there woods....saw some scrapes and rubs; nothing moving due to the temps.

Thanks He is on a very small parcel of private land that I have permission to hunt on, two years in a row in fact. Developments are going up all around, I fear this is not a long term hunting opportunity so I got to try for him. It will surprise anyone when they find out where he is, that's the beauty of these deer!

Re: Do you let em grow or bag em? This buck is on 40 acres but I know I am the only hunter for miles. It's very residential area and this guy has a great chance of being around a long time.

Re: Late season bow Saw the 8pt tonight, but he was at the foot of my ladder stand....Ah could ya get any closer!?!?! Anyways I moved and he moved a into some tress, bummer. He was not spooked. The question is do I take him or see what else lurks in the trees?? Or he could be a nice 10 next year....Whats the call?

Re: Late season bow Just pulled my deer cam, 59 pictures in 5 days! I counted 6 different bucks, one shooter 8pt! I'm on it Tuesday!

Re: quest. on blinds I have been discussing the same thing with my 12 yr old. He has camo, and I think we may just bring one of those cheap folding chairs and just plunk him right under my ladder stand. Thats the best I can think of, those blinds can be big. I was looking for the smallest out there, but they are still big.

Re: Late season bow Got the stand up yesterday, the snow is all melted. Tracks everywhere! Saw a good size track that included the rear hooves, do those typically only belong to males?? now I can hunt till Jan. 31st!

Re: Late season bow This a metro area so I can't bait and I know no one has hunted here in over a year. I think I'll set up a deer cam first to scout. I have access to the woods but only 20 yards or so and it's realy thick. The best spot seems to be on a corner of the woods and semi wooded field. Wish I could bait!

Re: Late season bow There is some down corn fields and thick woods, the tracks were outside the woods on the edge of the corn and open fields....I'm thinking more in the woods for a stand location. But why not hunt the walking lanes??
