It looks like the 270 mirrors the 22-250 pretty much as far as being a flat shooter, but is able to do something when it get's there. I have a remington 700 mountain rifle in 270 it's very light and compact. I can shoot 2.5" groups @ 400 Yds. with factory core-loks and i'm no marksman. It's topped with a nikon monarch. It would do you just fine

I agree with you Doc, about the lack of response to this thread. I'm from NY as well and have no luck coyote hunting (fox hunting either). The woods are thick. I would take all the knowlege I could get!!

Three years ago I took a eight point (during gun season) when I got to him I found that his right front leg was missing and healed over just fine. I never knew it, he was going through the woods normally. I would'nt take her because of the leg.

How's the recoil from a 270? Have a 243 no noticable recoil, thinking about a new rifle. Not really recoil sensitive, 12 GA deer gun is my usual. Just wondered about a 270 or even a 25-06

I did check out a browning A-Bolt but not a micro hunter. Very impressed, they are up near the top of the list

I have M70 Coyote 243 very nice rifle shoots very good love it for deer but it's heavy. It's like 10lbs. I spend alot of time hunting small game also - squirrels,fox,woodchuck maybe even a coyote. Looking into a lighter rifle maybe in 22-250 I like the looks of the TC Icon and the Tika T3 Light. Both felt really good in the store. Sugestions,Opinions,Experience???

Late archery/muzzleloader season ended tues. No shots (alot of sightings) with the bow. Did get a pretty nice 9 pointer during gun season. I'll try to post a pic. Never tried it before. Could use some instruction.
