Re: Pa late season tactics?
i have two old over grown feilds that are the beeding areas for about half the population on my property and i think i will hunt those pretty hard. there are so many paths going in and out of the feilds that it is gonna take luck to find the right one.
thanks for the advise guys. i figured that the deer have eaten all my corn so i dont think they will be spending much time in there. any other popular food sources in the Pa woods that they like to eat after the rut?
Chris
Just wanted to know what you guys would suggest for hunting the late archery season in PA? i know its going to be cold but to me that is half the experience. probably take some management deer but i was wondering what feeding patterens might be more popular that time of year?
thanks
Re: Deer processing
fresh backstraps could be my favorite meal of all time.
i usually get sausage, jerky, ground, steak, and chops.
the first doe of the year is always quartered and eaten the rest of the season.
i just wanted to see if anyone on here would have any idea what my buck would score Pope & Young. I dont really have much information on it because i shot it and immediately had to return to school. thanks
