  1. How are you guys finding so many sheds!?! I see some of you finding 15-20 in a day or two. I have found 2 in about 4 days of looking about 3 hours or so at a time! Do you have alot of food plots that you find sheds in or something? Are you just returning to areas where you found sheds before(honey hole). You guys just that dang good or what?
  2. I would go to the farm that you know the best. Sometimes you need to move on a bird and just put yourself in the area he is heading. Knowing the land will help you use the land to your advantage. As far as the decoys go all of them will work.I don't have any of the new decoys on the market. I usually put out a single hen or hen w/ jake fairly close.
  3. I had just brought him home and took a pic and I hadnt decided on where to hang him is all. I guess he got the place on his ear from fighting. Taxidermist aged him at only 2 1/2 scored him at 142 As requested.....
  4. Got him back a couple weeks ago. My biggest to date! Workin on another one to put next to him. Ill have to take another pic when I hang him.
  5. Re: KY buck down today! I took this deer here in scott county. There are some really nice bucks running around this year. I passed 10-15 different bucks that should be real nice deer next year. I agree I dont think the money will be missed one bit when I go to pick him up this spring. Are you hunting in Corbin? Thats a pretty good area as well.
  6. Re: Brother-in-law\'s 1st Deer w/pics!!!! **** no wonder that deer is so big, he spent to much time at the golden arch!!!LoL All jokes aside thats a great buck.
  7. Re: KY buck down today! Thanks alot guys for all the compliments. I appreciate it. I took him to the taxidermist today and he scored him right before I left. 138 5/8 after deductions. I was kinda dissapointed with the price on a shoulder mount though. He is charging $450 and another one in town is charging $350, but I have heard he is kinda slow since he works full time on the fire department. But I shouldnt have to worry about the quality as he has a good reputation.
  8. Hey guys im farily new to the board, but have been lurking for a while. I have seen alot of nice deer from other members and thought I would share mine. I took this guy this after noon as a matter of fact. I went on more of a scouting trip than anything today trying to find a place to hang a stand. I went out in a pair of blue jeans and camo jacket. It was about an hour and a half before dark as I walked around on top of a ridge I had hunted before a couple years ago. The area is so thick its hard to see more than 60-70 yards. I continued to walk out the ride a ways and I heard movment over on my left. I stopped and just waited several minutes looking around. I spotted a 4pt over on my right and he ran off down the hill. I kept hearing something over on my left so I continued to stand still. I saw movement out in front of me and all I could see was a rack and he was heading away from me and dissapeared. I was helpless as I left my grunt tube at the house. Shortly after the the noise to my left kept getting closer and closer. Out walks a doe and a buck behind some this brush about 50yds. All I could see was antlers so I picked out what I thought was his shoulder and shot. He dropped on the spot as the bullet hit its mark. This guy is my biggest to date! What do u guys think? Any idea on a score? He is about 16 wide G1's are about 5in. G2's are 8in., and G3's are 9 1/2. Not a monstor to some but im happy with him.
