    Awesome!!! Man..... I've had my tail tucked for the last few days. Our season is over and i ain't got squat! If hens and jakes were legal i could have my limit, but i don't think we've got a gobbler in mississippi. They done killed 'em all.

    The gobblers are giving their vocal cords a rest for the last couple of days i'm told. Hens are starting to nest, so it should be a little easier to call them ole toms.

    Saw 3 jakes this afternoon.... Two running togather, and 1 came out by himself. They were gobbling like crazy at the 4 hens in the field. I'm thinking there may not be a gobbler around. With all the noise those 3 jakes were making if there was one in earshot he shoulda come running.

    I snuck off yesterday morning and saw a jake, but so far that's it. I'm going to the camp saturday and see if i can get on one of the long beards that was there during deer season.

    I'm in east/central mississippi. I hunt in dekalb, ms.... About 35 miles north of meridian.

    Yeah, we're out here.... Just gotta get some work in before season starts. Our opener is this saturday.... I'm stoked! I like gobbler getters pretty good.

    Don't open here in Mississippi 'till March 1st. I'm ready though. I've had two years of dry runs, but I have some new turkey woods to hunt this year, so i'm hoping to break the cycle.

    I Got Mine On The 5th Of Sept. Left Out That Afternoon To Elk Hunt In Colorado And Just Got Back. Bow Hunter Was With Me. He Ain't Checked His Messages Yet, But I'll Tell Him Whats Up. Thanks, My Hunting Truck Will Be All Decked Out In Realtree Now.
