Thanks for putting those photos on there for me. I bought a new bow last week due to having some issues with my other new bow...ugh...but I love my new Game Over. I am selling my new Parker Contender XP. I bought the bow new in August. Kept in excellent condition. I have killed 3 deer with it: one at 18 yards, one at 30, and one at 40. I just found out that getting the shorter module I need for it is next to impossible and with cooler weather and heavier jackets becoming nessecary, the long draw length is making my string hit my sleeve every shot. Not acceptable. This is my favortie bow I have shot but I cannot find a way around this issue. Well, I've got another one on the ground. Killed a big mature doe last night. Hard to tell but I've had a sentry doe bust me a couple times in the same group of deer and last night I whacked her. Her snort and stomp days are over. Lol...This time, I got tag pictures. I'm just on a short break from work right now due to a Dr. visit but tonight I'll post pictures of all 3 deer. Good luck guys! Thwak and Stack guys! I killed a big doe Wednesday the 17th and a young doe last night. I've gotta go buy more antlerless deer tags today so I can continue my skin- head harvest . Sad news...I forgot to take tag pictures of both of them. But, I'm not done with my slayin' yet so I will put some points on the board with the next one. How's everyone else doing? Good hunting! Well, opening night was uneventful unless you count getting a hickory nut dropped on your head interesting...lol...no deer but I was taking my chances hunting a field edge on a full moon. Anyone else had any luck?

We had a major weather change this weekend. It was almost 90 Friday and today the temps have yet to hit 60 and it's almost 2 o'clock. Did I mention season opened today!?!? Lol...I am stoked. Plus, my boss is letting me get out of here an hour early so I'll be sure to be sittin in my stand when they come thru. If the wind holds how it is now I will be set as long as the deer cooperate. Which more often than not they prove to make a perfect evening difficult...lol... I was thinking...how bout a simple name... Team Carnage. We're deer slayers. Simply put. Lol... Marijane

Hey All... I'll be hunting in central Missouri from Sept 15th to Mid January every chance I get work and weather permitting. So far I've got 4 bucks over 140 inches I've been watching and catching pictures of since July. And my stand is only 15 yards from their evening hangout spot... I've got my stands hung and the cobwebs cleaned out of my climber. Bought a new bow a couple months back and just nabbed two new farms to hunt. Ladies, I think I have found the bow for us. I shot several before purchasing a new one this year. I had settled on the Bowtech General and really liked it other than having to order modules and the price. But last night I shot the new Parker Contender XP and abolutely loved it. It's much faster and hits harder at shorter draw lengths. The cams are designed for short draw lengths at lower poundages so it is a dream to draw and hold. Super smooth with hardly any handshock and quick and quiet. I was sold. I haven't shot in several months and am pulling 48 pounds off the bat with no strain. Even if you have a bow, go find a Parker dealer and fling a couple arrows through one. To top it all off, the price is extremely reasonable. The Contender retails between 400 and 500$. I suupose I should add that it comes with a lifetime warranty and Parker is reknowned for having phenomanal customer service. Just thought I'd share in case any of y'all were on a bow hunt of your own. Mine was quite difficult so maybe this will help some. Happy Hunting! I have decided to switch the contents of my quiver around this year. I started shooting Gold Tip 500s instead of the 3555s and so far I like the change. I have been shooting Blazers for hunting but was going to switch to Duravanes new smaller vane. But I was wondering if you all had any opinions on the pros and cons of the longer 3-D vane or the shorter Predator vane.My primary use will be hunting as I switch to nanos in the winter for indoor 300 and 3-Ds. Not really sure what you are driving at. I apologize if you are under the impression I am selling this dog because I don't know what I'm doing. Maybe I was misleading in the ad... I bought Molly with a complete understanding of the responsibilities I was undertaking. I have been training dogs for about 6 years...It just so happens I don't enjoy training retrievers as much as I enjoy training our hunting dogs. So, I have two choices: Keep her as a pet or sell her to someone who can put her to use. Thanks for your input, but don't take it personal if I don't follow your advice. Marijane

Been tearing the timber up since November and season is almost over so I figured I'd post one of our tailgate shots. This is from the other night...me and several buddies went for a short hunt and killed 5 big coons and one small one and a great big fox squirrel. Dogs worked good and we had a blast. Molly Solid black lab female. DOB April 26, 2007 Sire: Boogies Jake Wright Dam: Show Me Wings Jill She is a big dog. Still has a lot of puppy fat now so may slim down some. 70lbs?? Not really sure. She came from a local kennel about 30 min north of me....Show-Me Wing's Kennels. $300.00----might consider trades. Something that doesn't eat. Lol I did my best to get into waterfowl hunting hard and heavy this last year; including buying a lab pup. I enjoyed the hunting but don't have time for my curs and Molly (lab). Molly will be a year old in April. I worked with her everyday when I got her (Sept. 07) on retrieving and obedience and she was doing pretty well. I don't know a thing about training a dog unless they're under a tree so I was trying to train this pup by myself with only the help of a couple books. She was sitting, healing, and holding well and only releasing on her name the majority of the time earlier in the fall. Some days she just wanted to be a pup and some days she looked like a million bucks if you had a bumper in your hand. That being said, the other day she didn't want to listen to a word I said. She may not remember a thing or she could turn around fast. I really don't know. I'm going to buy another cur pup and am hunting an older dog so Molly needs a new home. Haven't been on here in a while...been busy chasing the dogs at night and piddling around on the 4wheeler when I'm not working. Brought my bow home from work today and have some good trail cam pics from a farm I hunt about an hour south of me. Am gonna head down there Monday and hunt most of the day. I may hole up down there at a friend's house and hunt Tuesday if Monday doesn't result with meat on the tailgate. I may try and whack a doe tomorrow but don't know when...gonna go kill some honkers in the morning then heading about an hour and half north to coon hunt. Boys, I am wore out...lol...but I'm just gonna have to be tired for now. I plan on attempting to fill the rest of my tags. I've got til Jan 15th...I've still got an anterless and two any deer. If it comes down to it I'll try and whack 3 does but I'd like to kill a buck with my bow. I've got a nice 8 pointer on camera and my hunting buddy saw "the good buck" and two little ones the other night skirtin a CRP field by our big ladder stand. Sorry for being so long winded, thought I'd catch you up. Congrats on a great season guys and maybe, just maybe if I get real lucky I'll whack the monster we've been seein since August.
