Also with a climber, it's always fun to find after fully setting up, last step to bring the bow up and you forgot to tie the stand end of the rope to the stand and you look down to see your bow with a nice coil of rope next to it.

What caliber does everyone use for whitetail deer?
Predator replied to just-an-illusion's topic in Deer Hunting
12 ga Reminton using the copper sablots and 58 caliber civilwar replica Euroarms carbine and 60 grains blackpowder -
Still shooting my PSE Carroll Intruder. Bought new 1994 vintage? So around 15 years old. Only missed once at deer when I hit a thin limb I did not see. But that deer came back for a second arrow. I reduced the draw a bit from the 70 # to 60#'s but she still shoots great with standard 4 blade Steel force heads.

Cool! With broadheads the deer would never go far! Shotgun Bow!

Alright! I thought we were only going to have a lowly NJ turkey as our only team entry. Very nice gobbler OhioBucks.
-
Thanks Ohio bucks. Just noticed your address - my trip was in Toledo, OH. Hit the Bass Pro in Rossford one evening.

Added one NJ turkey for the team!! 58 1/6 pts. That's 3 for 4 yrs turkey hunting here. Got em last week but was so rushed packing for a business trip did not get time to post until I got back.

I would tell them you shoot before getting glasses but I have had no problems with bow peep, rifle iron sights peep or scope. BUT I have had trouble aiming while shooting billiards because of the frame on these smaller style glasses that is popular vs the sort of aviator style I had before. I think I will get some extra standard glasses to solve that.

With the gun iron sights competition civil war replica msuket I find if I focus/concentrate on dead center of the target, and almost let go of the rest (perfect sight picture etc.) I find I hit dead center. You might try practice that way just to se what happens. Of course things you do before you shoot should be done on the line - consciously place you feet and angle your body where you want, etc. the same time every time.

Hello I have a 4 month puppy Lab named Remington, he is going to be my duck hunting duck. This month he started barking and barking for attention and anything he wants, my vet said to get him a electronic collar that will give an alarm to the dog first before he gets a zap. Does anyone know a good one I have been looking but not sure what to get, I am planning to use it also in training in duck hunting. Thank you all for your help. Nancy P.S. My husband needs to start signing out Now I will have to check his message LOL

Make a list of what activities you want to do and the kind of waters you want to go in. Then get advise from dealers and here. That way when you do buy you won't be wishing for something else. At least not soon. I think once you get a boat, even a canoe, you want bigger.

As a kid growing up I had scrapple quite a bit for breakfast. Always wondered what it was made of. I figured scrap meat cuts. Then a buddy of mine took me on a friend of his dad's farm for the fiirearms deer season when I was around 15 or so. Mid day we were bored and walked around. We found the farmer in a shop room butchering a pig. The pig's head was on the table. I said what are you keeping that for? He said "Where do you think scrapple comes from?"

Just checkin' in. I have three days to hunt AM only allowed in Jersey. Put in for an April week. Will be my 4th year at this, skunked one yr so far. On the deer contest I entered a NJ 7 pointer. May I can get the same kind of luck with turkey!

What ever you do don't just fry them up fast. Your leather boots will be easier to eat.

How low does it make us to have wasted our time reading this post?

My wife tagged along for a couple years then decided she wanted to start. But it was this time of year. Ended up starting with spring turkey. Not too cold and she got very lucky.

Unforgiven: Who's the owner of this saloon? I am. Boom - shoots him with a shotgun. Sheriff says "You just shot an unarmed man! " Well he shoulda armed himself if he's gonna decorate the front door with my friend!

I would also suggest getting some good pictures for color for painting whether skin mount or fiberglass mount. Get measurements of girth and length in case you go with fiberglass and to be sure the taxidermist knows what it was like before frozen. I have two photos of small mouth bass that I plan to get fiberglass mounts of some day. The color difference between the two is amazing.

Anybody try the Hostage rest? Looks like a bisciut without the draw backs.

You sure that was NY? Seems to be a body found every year in 'Jersey. I never open a bag of "trash" in the hunting woods - I don't really want to know what's in there.... See link. http://www.newjerseyhunter.com/article53595.htm

I doubt I will be upgrading without a lot of luck. Public Muzzy spot was hit hard. And I never have collected on a winter bow deer (the month of January) but will be trying. Good luck all! -
Check with a lawyer. I have seen one case where the suit for a health issue was thrown out because of the former employee signing this sort of thing. But can you do without the severence? May be better to sign for a "known" and hope that like you say you can justify non-legal situtation later for an "unknown".
