Thanks dudes, I didnt get out Tuesday. I made it back to the same area on Wed. and did find a small set. All the green isn't good, but the antlers are getting whiter from the sun and easier to see, if you get close enough.
Anyone still looking regularly? Or am I alone? Haha...Ive had my best season this year and I don't want to stop, heck its hard to stop when you keep finding them. Here is one I found yesterday.
Here is one I found today, also found an old one that was chewed and weathered badly. Heading back tom to cover the area better. I feel there is more there.
Stone Cold: I have them laying all over too, they make good decorations and look good with anything, I think haha.
Do you have any pics of your curtain rod ends or anything youve made with sheds? Ive pondered doing something with some of mine.
buckantler68: Thanks for the pics dude, thats kind of what we've thought up so far. Lay some on the top of the shelf and then take a drill and put a small hole into the base of some other antlers and screw in an eye screw and hang them off hooks from the bottom side of the board.
Ive seen where guys take a wire or something and string it across a wall and then hang their antlers by the eyeguard. Thats kinda cool too.
Pa shed he found while hunting 12/4/08 You can see in the first pic, how much it was buried under pine needles and goldenrod. The 2 end tips sticking up are what caught his eye!
haha..You may be onto something!!! I did find Big Fresh "running" tracks in the snow, 50 yards before I found the shed! I'm worried I ran him out of 'his area' before he dropped the other!? Haven't been able to get back to look for the other. (Snow and ice storm)
