  1. I plan on going after turkeys with my bow this year. The archery shop in town recommended using adder points behind my broadheads so the arrow doesn't completely pass through the bird. I was wondering if anyone on here has used them and what your thoughts are on them?

Mine has not even started! The snow is more than waist deep here in New Hampshire.
  3. That could be a buck of a lifetime in New Hampshire!!
  4. Used them a few years ago, never had any luck with them.
  5. Man, I would never pass on that deer, but then again I live in New Hampshire and deer like that are few and far between!!
  6. I use spitfires for mechanicals and razorbacks for fixed. They both are very accurate (fly like fieldpoints) and get the job done.
  7. I think you mean STERNO not sternal.
  8. NAP scorpions/ spitfires. They hit EXACTLY where my fieldoints do. No need to resight and move pins.
  9. I think you will like them both, I do.
  10. I really like my Savage 110 in .270 . Good performance at a good price !
  11. I've been using a pendulum sight for 4 or 5 years now and love it. Its an Impact archery "All Terrain" sight. It is a single pin pendulum for in the treestand or you can lock it down and has adjustable yardage markers on a slide for on the ground. I shoot indoor targets, outdoor 3-D, and hunt all with one sight. A pendulum can increase your odds on deer, just practice with it from an elevated position, because like the other guy said it will probably shoot inch or 2 high in close, right on around 25yds and inch or two low at 30-32 yards.
  12. If you want accurate and forgiving, than you want a drop away. There are some dropaways out there that will give you the full containment of the WB without the drawbacks.

  14. I've always said better to be lucky than good, and I got lucky on my trip to Illinois a few weeks ago when this guy stepped out the last hour of the last day. He paused in my shooting lane long enough to put an arrow into his ticker. Iwas absolutely thrilled to make a great shot after missing a real tall 8pt afew days earlier.
