I use nothin but whisker biscuit's on all my bow's. I shoot both goldtips and beman carbons. I personally have had a slight noise with aluminum arrows i switched to carbons several yrs. ago. I still shoot aluminum arrows sometimes. I have found the noise worse with the aluminum arrows. A little trick i have done esp. with aluminum is to make sure after each shooting session clean the arrows to remove any debris then wipe them down good with armorall. I then let them dry well. I find that after they dry before goin to the woods esp. there is no odor remaining on the arrow. Another trick you might try is to run an ordinary cotton ball through the biscuit several times before you shoot. This will leave a small amount of material on the biscuit . Also the more you shoot the biscuit the( more quiet )it should become. I have shot them since they came out and would not shoot anything else . And believe me I have tried them all . IMHO it is the best capture rest out there today . There is a lot of other fine capture rests available , but this is my favorite. Hope this helps.
