I have the 500, and it's a great turkey gun. I have a simmons pro diamond scope on it. Any turkey within 50 yds is a dead turkey.

I don't have one personally,but I have a friend that shoots the fisrt sbe. He uses a jellyhead .655 and hevi-shot #6. I know he's taken turkeys over 60 yards with this setup. Maybe this will help you out some.
