Still getting started in the reloading.As much as the ammo cost for 300wsm I may have to get a die for it also.

I recently bought a Savage 300 wsm,and I'm trying to find an elk ld.so,far it doesn't like 180gr Win accubonds or the silver tips (4-5" groups),It will put the 180gr Fusions in a 1.5 group,and it'll put 150gr win power pts in an inch.All shots were on a lead sled and at 100yrds.My question is... what would the lightest grain weight bullet I can shoot and still get good penetration on elk? I'm going try and find some Remington's and Hornaday shells to try and find out what it shoots best.
