I think I've tried almost everywhere but figured this might actually be the best bet. I'm looking for an Under Armour Cold Gear Mock T in blaze orange. Bass Pro used to carry them but no longer do. I contacted UA and they actually no longer make that color. I wanted to see if anyone out there might now where I could possibly find some still in stock somewhere. I would need a 3X size for the UA. I am looking to purchase a bow for my son who is almost 8 years old. I went to Bass Pro the other day and had his draw length measured and his draw weight. The guy at BP reccomended a bow from Diamond (a Bow Tech company) that has a limb exchange program. As the child grows and becomes stronger you can call the company and they send you out a whole new set of cables, strings, and limbs for a higher draw weight. It goes all the way from 10-20 lbs up to 40-50 lbs. You pay them $40 and you get all that stuff delivered directly to Bass Pro and they put it all together for you. Not sure how much BP charges to put everything on but it sounded like a pretty good deal to me. Now the only down side is that the upfront price is $299 for everything except arrows and a release. I know there are other youth bows on the market for much less but they don't have the let off and the scaleability of this bow. Has anyone heard of this program and can possibly give me any other advice on a good bow for my son? Thanks!

I went with age but alot of things go into to it. If we need some meat for the freezer then I'll pretty much go for any doe. However if I get a shot at a smaller doe rather than a larger one I will try and go for that one. Dad always says that the more mature does will be more likely to have twins or triplets the next year so to let them go. In a buck though we're trying to impliment QDM and only take the older more mature bucks so we can try and build up the buck population some and let the smaller bucks go.

Well I'm fairly new here so I guess there must be some unwritten rule about guys posting in the "Girls Room" But anyway....I've seen the show you are referring to and I would do it. I can't say that it would be easy or comfortable. As a matter of fact it would probably suck, but it would make you appreciate all the things that we take for granted every minute of every day. It would probably be good for kids too to kinda help them see how tough life really can be and how it used to be. It might help them better establish more of a work ethic too.

Those are some good pics. I'd like to add to that this year. I've shot bow off and on for several years but I'm going for my first kill this year. Todd and I are going to try and video me getting my "Thwak" on on a nice big doe. :cool:

My Dad found, from what we could all tell, was probably 4 or 5 sets of matching sheds in the field not more than a couple hundred yards from the stand. It was this spring when the CRP was still all green. Todd had the chance to go out and look, my dad said it was ok, however decided not to since he'd already found "a few" out there.

We've only hunted out of it for a couple years now and I think the only person to kill a deer out of it was my brother, and he killed a doe. We're trying to get the bucks bigger out there and do the QDM to make it a better habitat for them, so nothing huge yet. A guy on a neighboring piece of property killed probably a 160 class buck about two years back that my dad had been seeing come on to our land every night. That kind of stinks.

That is a sweet looking ride. That would be nice to have one of those with the dump bed and winch and all. My wife actually suprised me on Father's Day this year with a 2002 Camo Polaris Sportsman 500 HO (high output). Anyway since I still live in the city I haven't had a chance to get it in the mud just yet. Congrats on the new wheeler!!:cool:
