The disease EHD (Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease) is killing white-tail deer in southern Indiana. Indiana farmers and hunters are finding dead deer nearby water. Some farmers are finding up to 20 or more dead deer Indiana biologist said. This is caused by a small flying insect called biting midges. They will not die till we get a couple of hard freezes. There will be a significant loss of the deer heard in the counties where the disease has been found according to the wildlife biologist. Hopefully this doesn't take a huge toll on the buck population. We have seen some huge bucks since the one buck rule has been implemented. This sucks but not much we can do about it.
