  1. Me and my 6 post are going to brag for a second then I will explain my point again. Im a firefighter for a small city. Im certified in high angle rope rescue and have a "little" time spent in a safety harness and hanging on a piece of rope. Tree stand safety harnesses are just that a safety measure.IMO used for more of a extra leg or anchor point to help keep your balance. Thats what they are good for. I hate to tell you but if you blindly fall out of your tree stand wearing any harness its gonna hurt, a lot! And if it happens to me, after the fall i wanna be able to get out of my harness, and back on a tree step or back in the stand, and the least number of buckles or straps, the better. So the harness that came with my API shooting star 10 years ago, or the nice harness that came with my Lone Wolf will do just fine. Im not sure how using these harnesses are "skimping" on my safety, im sure its what most people use today and for the last tree stand era. Also, IMO HSS vest are heavy, and if i sewed my Lone Wolf full body harness into a Wally Wold or Primos bow vest it would be a lot lighter, just as safe, more functional and save $90. But just my .02 worth Also ide like to add that with any harness, it all about wearing it and anchoring it to the tree the high way, most people i see use a harness, use it wrong.
  2. I have a Central Ohio rut hunt (Nov. 10- as late as 30th) to trade for someone in either Mississippi (Jan rut) or Wisconsin( Nov. 1-10th) bow hunt. I have access to over 300 acres of prime whitetail ground. Ive killed plus 140' s in the last 3 years and shot solid bucks every season for the past 10 years. This is not a guided hunt but i will tell you where I would hunt that day and help you in anyway i can, i however plan on hunting this time frame as well, so we will be working together. I have a couple different options on Lodging, from rustic cabin without electric or water / or stay at my house in a spare bedroom with all the amenities. Serious inquiries only that have a legit hunt to swap (ie private land with lodging.) Ohio is over the counter tags for around $150, that gets one buck and two does. I also have a butcher shop in my garage, so everything you should need is at hands reach. Im 26 years old, firefighter for a small city, and have a ton of time off work for November. email me at [email protected] if you have what im looking for or are the type of person that is willing to trade hunts and have something to offer. heres a few bucks ive taken http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/medicsnoke/06harvest021.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/medicsnoke/IMG_0653.jpg
  3. If i had it to do over again ide buy a cheap hunting vest from Waly World and sew a hunting saftey harness that you get with any tree stand into that, it the same as a HSS vest and 90 dollars cheaper.
