  1. Amen to that, bluelund. I'm at 4 now. Probably have to wait a couple of more years. Nice to see someone from down the road on here.
  2. Tecumsah, you have nice taste in guns. I have a 36 myself. I just added +1 magazine extensions on it, though. The grip was just a little short for me. BTW, bobw, buy that pistol! You'd be stealing it.
  3. Yoder, mind if I ask what your 9mm is? Just curous
  4. Dates on the site looked good to me. I got my first choice (2nd season) April 23-27. Whoohoo!

    What's your job?

IAM Union worker for GE Healthcare. We build anesthesia machines. Currently, I test completed machines (and fix them if they need it) to insure they are in proper working order before they head out to hospitals or distributors.
  6. I bought a pair during the archery season as a replacement for my Cabela's Camoskinz gloves. I love the Under Armour gloves. Plenty thin to bow hunt with and pretty warm actually. I used them right through the end of the Wisconsin archery season. No glove over them. Just a hand warmer in each pocket of my vest. I did like the Cabela's gloves just fine. They are the Gore-tex ones with 100 gr. Thinsulate. I had worn a pair out and bought those ones to replace them and they got snagged on a tree step and tore on the first day I used them. They are a little warmer than the Under Armour gloves but not as thin. Check them out as well. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0021063950170a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=camoskinz&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=camoskinz&noImage=0

    ATV

I don't think there is a bad ATV manufacturer out there anymore. Get what you want. Having said that, I own a Honda 650 Rincon and I love it. Got it used for a very good price. All I really needed was a 500 but couldn't pass this deal up. My brother-in-law has two Hondas. One is a 450 Rancher and it's a great machine. Plenty of power. You wouldn't be disappointed with one.
  8. May want to take a look at High Noon Holsters (highnoonholsters.com). They have two excellent AIWB (Appendix Inside Waistband) holsters. The Mr. Softy and the Bare Asset. Only difference is the cant of the holster. Very reasonably priced, as well. They don't show the 40P but they have the 40B listed and I think the it's similar. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. I have never shot one but have heard nothing good about the Sig Mosquito. Strange for a company as well thought of as Sig. Never heard anyhting but great things about the Brownings. I don't own one (yet), but the ones I've shot were great.

    Deodorant

I use Dead Down Wind. I'll have to ask my wife if she can tell after I come home from hunting all day.
  11. 18 out of 20. Didn't think I was doing that well. The eyes do give it away.
  12. I carry a Kershaw Splinter most of the time and a Benchmade Mini Pikka once in a while. Here they are (stock photos). Kershaw Splinter Benchmade Mini Pikka
  13. Awesome house! What a dream come true. My wife and I would love to build something like that someday.
  14. You know, TreeWalker, I never even considered it. Here's a couple more pictures of the 1st buck. It looks like the G2 comes inward on more of a straight line to me. It also looks like the 1st buck has a narrower spread than the 3rd buck. I wish I had more pictures of the 3rd buck to make a better comparison. It's something to consider, though.
  15. They are a blast, Toddy. Thanks about the bucks. I was surprised we had so many nice bucks around. There were about 6 more bucks that I got pictures of that were in the 2 1/2 year old range that should be very nice bucks this year. The one in velvet looks like a 2 1/2 year old and is carrying 11 points and has some potential to be really nice, I think. I really can't get enough of look at everyone's trail cam pictures.
  16. I have two of the 4.0 cameras. I've never had that problem with mine. They are slow (but not as slow as my Stealth Cam i450). My biggest beef with my Moultries are the weak flash. If the deer aren't within 10-15 feet ths picture is going to be dark. Still, for the money I paid, they are good cameras in my opinion.
  17. Awesome pictures! I love the Toms picture. Congrats to everyone that won.
  18. After seeing some of the great trail camera photos everyone has gotten this year, I thought I'd post some of my favorites up as well. I hunted these guys pretty hard but they outsmarted me. Had the velvet buck at 30 yards once but had already decided to let him grow one more year by then. He should be something special if he survived the season. I only got this one picture of this buck. Yes, that's an extra main beam on his left side. I also only got this one photo of this buck. It's a poor picture but it still kind took my breath away. This camera is about 30 feet from a cabin we have on our property. There were 3 scrapes and 8 rubs in a little grove of pine trees. You can see some of them in the photo. This buck is my favorite. He has great mass and spread. I'd love to see which buck busted him up. This was my first year with trail cameras. They definitely added a great deal to my knowledge of where the bucks are on our property as well as the excitement of knowing what caliber of bucks are out there. I'm 37 years old and have been hunting for 25 years now and I probably learned more about deer hunting this year than any other. Hopefully next year I can get one of these big boys in range of the bow.
  19. Oh, I'll definitely buy Best of Season 5, Airman. I love the DVDs. It's just that they're different than the TV show episodes. I felt that Best of Season 4 was even less indepth than the previous ones. Don't get me wrong, the DVDs are great. No slam intended at all. Just want even more Road Trips. I guess I'll just have to wait for the DVD. No biggie. Thanks again for all warm welcomes.
  20. I have the DVD sets for all of the previous seasons but they are the "Best Of..." and not all of the episodes from the season. At least that's what I remember. I thought it was even more so for the Season 4 DVD. I could be wrong though. Thanks for welcome. Been lurking for quite a while.
  21. Hey all, I am wondering if there is anyone out there that has this season's Road Trips TV shows taped. I had to get rid of my digital cable this year (part of a second baby financial readjustment:D) I would be more than happy to pay something for the shows. Any help getting my fix of Michael and the Road Trips crew would be greatly appreciated.
