  1. Barrel langth is 17" and the gun over all is 32" It is a rifle class now and is BATF leagle. It still is listed as a pistol in my name. I'm glad you all like it. It took a long time working the stock and coming up with the look. It is dead on at 100yards, but I did not see that big buck this year to see what it would do. I think 240gr JHP @1350FPS would do a job. The gun comes up very nice and make it EZ to go through the brush.
  2. Yes it needs the pad. I has a good kick. I shoot Hornady custom 240gr jhp and it is 1350fps. That is like a 30-30 going out of this little gun.
  3. I did not do the engraving. A guy in Milford,PA did it. I'm glad you like my gun. It is alot of fun to shoot.
  4. I just finished my Ruger Super Redhawk 44mag revolving rifle. I built it from the frame up. It is awesome to shoot. I have alot of time and hard work in this and hope you all like it. I wanted to do somthing different and this is what I came up with. I will be hunting this year for deer in PA and will let you all know how I make out with it. Let me know what you think. http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/levimccollum/100_4772.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/levimccollum/100_4780.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/levimccollum/100_4781.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/levimccollum/100_4770.jpg
  5. Leo you are right about the gap. I had the guy take the barrel down to close the gap a little. It worked great and I only shoot this gun with a long sleeve shirt on. So yes, you should never put your hands in front of the cylinder on a revolver it will get you good.
  6. The barrel is 17". It cost me 200.00 for the muzzle brake and all the work to my Ruger barrel. I have the guys info if anyone needs it. He will do any barrel with one of his muzzle brakes. He also has slip on muzzle brakes like mine for 65.00. The whole gun cost me the price of the gun 600.00 and it had all the engraving on it already, muzzle brake and threading 200.00, T/C gun stock off ebay 74.00 and my 10hrs of fitting the stock to the revolver priceless LOL. Total 874.00 and a keg of beer. I will post pics of it done with the scope on it and maybe a target after I shoot it again.
  7. This is a revolving rifle that I built out of a Ruger super redhawk. I have shot it and it is awesome. Just thought I would do something different to mix things up a little. I will hunt deer this year with this 44mag and see what I can come up with. It is not finished as you can see from the pics but I had to take some pics to se what you guys think. Let me know. 8. It should not be the gun. It was dead on before and all I'm doing is putting on a muzzle brake and changing the stock. I do know what you went through. I had a custom Mauser 7mm mag that I had built and I put a big boy scope on it. It never hit anywhere close to a good grup. I thought it had to be the scope and sent it back to the Co. and they said there was nothing wrong with it. So on it went and I changed the ammo and still all over the paper. I had the gun checked by another gunsmith and he said the head space was off. Now it is a one holeing bad boy.
  9. thanks I will look into it. I can't wate to shoot this thing.
  10. Thanks guys I will get a nikon and have a Buckmasters on my 7mag and love it. Just do not have the coin at this point. So I will wate and see what I come up with.
  11. I'm building a shooter and want to use a scope under 100.00 dose anyone out there have a web site that tells you what scope is the best for your money? I tried consumer reports and they do not have anything at all on scopes. I guess I'm asking what is the best cheep scope for your money. ie) Ncstar, BSA, Simmions, tasco, or Redfield? I know what you guys are going to say, say you money and by a good scope. I will I would just like to shoot this thing before it snows and then will get a good scope. Hope you can help
