  1. Thanks for the luck, and good luck to you too bud. Hit 'em hard!!
  2. I have been scouting for awhile now and have found where I am goin to hunt opening morning, the problem is where to actually set up. I have a creek bed with plenty of water( bonus) and you can tell the deer are using it, and the hogs. About 70 yards accross the creek along the deer trail there is 8-10 trees rubbed really hard and one rubbed only on one side and in the front(maybe big maybe small but its a 7 inch in diameter tree). There is no hog sign in the woods. Would yall hunt the creek or the woods? Both have really good open shooting lanes with plenty of tree cover behind me and the sun at my back. Any advice
  3. You may want to also look into Echo calls. They dont't make "hang-up" free calls but they do make some great ones. They make good wood and acrylic calls as well as some good poly calls. Check out their website and new dvd's and video clips from last year.
  4. I hunt in Arkansas where there is about the same problem with different options for the ducks to go to. The main thing in duck hunting is scouting. Just like he said before," You have to be where the ducks want to be, not where you want them to be." Sometimes this means more work and maybe in some instances a less comfortable hunt but I will always take that over the rest of my buddies who hunt easy and kill one or two ducks. Try blowing slow soft quacks and maybe a few softer hail calls. Always remember in calling ducks " wing tips and tail feathers" that's the only time to blow.
  5. I shoot maxima 350 with one and beman with the other
  6. no mojo no way I am with the no mojo technique. you are better off not using them. In AR they are outlawed and we had a much better season without them. The floaters tend to tip over when the wind blows, and they all tend to flare ducks since the 2001 season. Hope this helps.
  7. Well the season in AR starts Monday and we are all off to camp. They are all moving at night here too with the moon. He's a nic'n!
