William, A LOT of good , Intelligent Christian Men have fallen by the wayside, so surely they could be naïve enough to fall into into of Satan's traps. My experience is that the fall usually starts small, and graduates up. Ok, having finished with my preaching, Im sorry to say that I have no concrete knowledge of the free masons, except their works look good on the surface. My church ( Free Methodist) will not let you be accepted into full membership if you are a free mason, so I suspect there is more there than meets the eye( again just my suspicion). What was explained to me at membership class was that to be a member of the free Masons, you would have to make some pledges that would be contrary to giving full allegiance to Christ.
On a side note, its kind of interesting that right now I am preparing to speak to a group of men, and the topic will be how important for each of us to discover, and take ownership of his own beliefs/theology, and not depend on what we are told by others, wether they be pastors, friends, or whatnot. I applaud you for digging in for information. Lane
