  1. What a surprise to have them delivered today 8-) The I-Kam Xtreme 3.0 comes with two sets of interchangeable, lenses in clear and smoke (you can also buy amber separately) to use in all lighting conditions. Frames are available in glossy black, flat black and also real tree AP camo. A hard bodied carrying case, cleaning cloth, AC adapter/USB cable and instruction manual are also included. I also picked up the car charger that allows you to plug your glasses into a standard car outlet and charge them on the road. Charger has a 2.5-foot cord. First thing I did was to put them on to get the fit feel of them I had seen complaints the lenses are to small and look odd, I did not get this feeling at all. They do fit snug and there is no danger of them falling off whether looking down at a bass you caught or looking down from a tree stand at full draw with a bow in hand. I was pleased to find the battery at full charge the manual suggests an eight hour charge before first use. There is a media player made for the I Kam in which the only useful thing is setting the correct time and date stamp, the videos play in any player supporting .avi format. I popped them on and took a drive and was pleased at the result 8-)

  9. I just got involved with this a few months ago after being involved in map creation and beta testing of the "Deer Hunter Series". This IMO has potential to be the greatest hunting simulation ever created. I have the guest version which allows me only mule deer, one weapon (a scoped .243), a doe bleat call, and a few clothing options. The online interaction concept is similar to the way Warhammer a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). I know the idea of a pay to play hunting simulation seems strange, but before you blow it out take a look at the videos. The outdoor feel inside the game is simply mind blowing, I feel as if I am really hunting each and every gameplay. Here is a in game shot I took when viewing click view in HD

  11. Hey thanks for the tips, I just hope the wind is right those days
  12. Plan on hunting it the first time January 11 thru 14I know it is late and have not had time to scout, but local person sees deer an sign everywhere. How would you hunt it? I was thinking hang a stand just inside the woodline near a field each day and sit? That late would calling and or scents do any good? As you can imagine green is now gone, the small field to the left of the red dot (red dot is south) had some sort of greens planted last year? The bigger field to the left is now dead and standing corn, the two north are from just grass cuttings.I may be pushing my luck trying to squeeze in the last few days, but looking at it you can understand my excitment to get down there I have two plans: 1. Walk into the wind near the creek, find a crossing and walk back to hang a stand. Just go to it each day. 2. Hang a stand each day near fields inside the woodline and sit until dark.
  13. I hope this does not come off as a "buy me" post, I do not work for elusivecamo nor do I have any personal connection to the site. A lot of you may not even find these helpful, but the reading may entertain you? Jim Nabors has to be one of the most likable hunting characters to ever put out a hunting video, his raw southern/cajun dialect is a pleasure to listen to. The over the shoulder camera hunts from the wildventure series in my opinion are some of the best ever made. When watching the video you get the feel as if you were right there with the boys. These fellows put together a series of bowhunting videos that now may be lost forever. If you enjoy bowhunting and love hunting videos check these out, and now for my story. I got into archery/bow hunting in 1995 I was in a local video store to rent a movie, as I browsed I came across a PSE instructional video on beginning archery and beside it was a video called "Big Bucks Shore 'Nuff", the back of that tape box intrigued me. Needless to say I rented both, after viewing these I had a real itch to try this and started hanging out at a pro shop. Well at this pro shop they carried the entire series of Wild venture videos the production company that produced "Big Bucks Shore 'Nuff". Now these videos are no more different than Drury, Real tree, etc. the one difference was the two main people Jim Nabors and Steve Webber were local, Steve was from Anderson S.C. and at the time Jim lived in or around Greenville S.C. or Oklahoma? I had never met either nor did I know them, but locations mentioned in the video made me understand that some of the videos locations were in the upstate of South Carolina. Well I spent that entire year watching those eight videos along with the PSE instruction video, I shot and learned to tune a bow, shot placement, practice etc. Late that fall I went into the woods bow in hand for one of the most memorable hunting seasons I have ever had, never took a deer but had several misses. The next year on my second trip I harvested a nice buck, what a thrill that was to accomplish on my own with the handicap of having lost my eye, it is really hard to describe that excitement. Now we get to 11/28/2007, I had found those tapes at a few places online but only one looked reputable the other two were like angel fire sites. Well about 8:30 I sent an email asking for a price list to elusivecamo.com who had them and how to order the certain tapes I wanted. A few minutes after I sent the email from my office, my day officer tells me I have a call at my desk, I pick it up and hear in a real thick southern accent; "Hi Mike this is Steve Webber with elusive camo” I almost dropped the phone! We had a great chat and I was on the phone probably more than I should have been, we talked bow hunting, filming and how we knew some of the same people from Anderson S.C. Steve told me he would have to call Jim who now guides in Idaho and tell him about me and how I made him feel he was a celebrity, he told me; "dude we just did some outdoors stuff, had some great guys”. You guys want these tapes get in touch with Nancy at www.elusivecamo.com, Steve did tell me once these were gone they were gone for good, I missed two because they were out. Nancy’s number is 1 800 460 8833 tell her Mike Richey from Chicago told you where to get them I am transferring all of mine to DVD as we speak, IMO a loss to the bow-hunting world if these videos disappear. http://elusivecamo.com/wildventure.htm There is the page with all Jim Nabors videos
