  1. We pray that God will bring comfort to Jeff and his family. Jesse, Ginger and Jacob Morehead
  2. Thanks, Ultratec1... I must give all of the credit to Jesse, though. All I do is pull the trigger. I started shooting a little yesterday just to work on form and strength. I haven't even hunted very much, so I could really feel it. I'm having some shoulder problems also, but that will hopefully improve with time and a few shots (the kind from a needle)!! It's either that or surgery and I don't have time for the surgery right now. I'm going hunting in KS this week, so I hope to knock one naked! You all have a great and safe holiday... God bless, Ginger
  3. We are so happy to hear that God blessed your dad and your whole family. Now get him out there to do what he loves! God bless, Jesse & Ginger
  4. I love hunting in the snow!! Good luck! Ginger

  6. Hi Randy, We wish we could be there to see you...it's been a while. Give your family our love and we hope to see you soon. God bless, Jesse, Ginger & Jacob
  7. Great news! Prayer really works, doesn't it? Praise God. The Moreheads
  8. Hunter Safety System has a new vest that is the bomb...problem is, they can't get them in fast enough to keep them on the shelves. These are a little more streamlined, have a cloth back instead of the mesh (the mesh is on the front to keep them cool) deep pockets with 2 other pockets in the front where you can keep your handwarmers, only one buckle across the front, zip vertical pockets on the chest as well as velcro flaps, binocular/range finder holder elastic bands on the front. I'm probably forgetting something, and you know that Jesse and I are sponsored by HSS, so please forgive. We stress wearing a safety harness period...we don't care who makes it. Keep an eye out for the new one from HSS. You'll love it. Jesse & Ginger
  9. Our prayers go out for this beautiful young lady. God bless, The Moreheads

  11. We did not know Nick, but can tell by all of the posts that he was a great guy. Such sad news. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Jesse, Ginger and Jacob
  12. We have several stickers that we can send her and will be happy to do so! I'll try to get them in the mail tomorrow... God bless, Ginger
  13. go to www.vipertreearm.com. Leonard Chambers has nailed the perfect tree arm and has two sizes depending upon how heavy your camera is. If you have any questions, just contact Leonard and he will be happy to talk with you. Best of luck to all of you! God bless, Jesse & Ginger Morehead
  14. Tink, It takes more than a little surgery to get a Texas gal down...tell her that we're praying for her and wishing her a speedy recovery. God bless, Jesse & Ginger Morehead
  15. Hi everyone! We are in the middle of our hunting season, but since moving to southern Indiana I've got more time so I can practice. I plan on shooting all of the indoor tournaments this season (don't know about Iowa and LAS). I haven't set up my indoor bow yet, but am actually looking forward to it! Oh, by the way...Jesse & I shoot Mathews, so let us know if you have any questions about them. We'd be happy to help you out. I'll try to keep you posted on my practice. Take care and God bless, Ginger
  16. Thanks for the responses...When Jesse & I were getting our show ready for this season, we considered changing the name to something more "hunting-like". We were afraid that people would by-pass it in the guide section thinking that it was some infomercial. After thinking of the close friends that we know who have fallen from their stands over the last several years and because of our wonderful relationship with the folks over at HSS, we decided to leave it. We are not going to promote any products here, but remember that just wearing a harness is not enough. Of course, it's better than not wearing one, but several of the guys we know actually had one on...they fell before they hooked it to the tree. Several companies have the lifeline ropes that you hang when you set your stand (using a belt while hanging the stand), so you can stay attached from the time you leave the ground until you return. Sometimes it takes a few extra minutes, sometimes you have a lot of stuff to carry up the tree like camera equipment, etc. and you may not want to "go through the trouble". I'd be willing to bet that if you asked any of these guys who have life-long injuries, (if they survived), they would tell you that they wish they'd taken the extra time. I apologize for harping, but we need to take care of each other and we love all of our bowhunting brothers and sisters. We are on our way to Illinois next week to hunt near where Jesse killed the 198" buck with his muzzleloader. Maybe it's my turn this time:D. God bless and Be Safe, Ginger
  17. I learned to gut a deer at a young age and had a great teacher...my dad. It's generally not too bad...but gut-shot deer can be a struggle. I worked at an outfitter so I gutted a lot of deer there, then ran a deer processing plant so I butchered hundreds of deer each season. Needless to say...I gut, cut up and cook my deer, Jesse's deer, and deer belonging to anyone else who needs help in the neighborhood. Make sure you take your deer to an established/reputable processor. There have been cases of large places kind of throwing all of the meat together and making burger, sausage, etc. and there is the possibility of getting someone else's deer. After seeing the way some people care for the game after the harvest, this is a horrifying thought. Hope you all have a wonderful season and get the opportunity to gut plenty of deer! God bless, Ginger
  18. Hello Everyone! Jesse and I just want to wish you all the very best and SAFE hunting season...We've already heard of a few treestand accidents and injuries and we just want to remind you to take the little extra time to secure yourselves. Go get 'em! God bless, Ginger & Jesse (& Jacob)
  19. Thank...good to be here! We just got a wireless card for the computer and we can have internet while we're rolling in the Muzzy Bus. I have a palm phone with internet, but I'm getting too old to see the screen!
  20. Vince, You and your family are in our prayers...so glad you shared this with us so we could join together on your behalf. Sometimes it's very hard to see the forest for the trees, but know that God sees all and He knows what is best for you. May you find comfort, and God bless, Jesse, Ginger & Jacob Morehead
  21. The mental part of archery is what separates the top shooters from the rest of the field. I have read several books and listened to audio from several of the top mental coaches, and the one that has helped me the most is Lanny Bassham. He teaches you to practice a routine enough that it all becomes a sub-concious action so you don't have to think about it. Then, when you do think, make sure you don't think of anything negative. You can literally train your mind to win. I have let myself get away from the mental game somewhat, and it shows. I have my Mental Management Journal at my feet right now as we drive through Ohio, so I plan on being more successful in the near future. Jesse always had me put my "ducks in a row" as I shot each target...another area with which I've not been as stringent as in the past. It would start with stepping to the stake and end with the follow-through. Seems this post has helped me already...I realize I've got to work on some things before Metropolis! Best of luck to you all! Ginger
