  4. Great bird. Even better that he fell to your bow
  5. Sorry for the loss and mess. Hope they catch the scum. Got any tall trees and short rope around there.
  6. I appreciate everyones opinion. I will talk to my dad about it. I think it would def give it justice to remount. As far as I know he has no photos of the buck, which is a shame cause it would def be a keepsake.
  7. Welcome Ron to a great sight full of good people. Sit back and enjoy
  8. My dad killed this buck back in 1965 in Ritchie County,WV. It was just sitting up in their spare bedroom floor, so I decided it was too nice a buck not to be displayed, so I decided to put it on my wall. It was his best buck ever and he is no longer able to hunt now after a series of strokes. He told me that the guy that originally did the mount was just starting out and the work was ok but it is now showing its age. That brings me to my question, should I have it remounted or do you think it will take away from the bucks history? All opinions are welcomed
  9. Sweet! Hows the Katera shoot. Have the Vectrix myself
  10. Deer, turkey, squirrel. I used to duck and goose hunt which was always a blast but haven't done that in about 10years
  11. All depends on what height you fell most comfortable your with. It can really affect your shoot if your nervous about the height. For me, I like to be up about 20-25ft. You also have to take into account your terrain and cover. Good luck and happy hunting
  12. Looks like a great season--congrats
  13. I bought a new vextrix in 07 and love it. Its very smooth and reliable. After a lot of research I feel I made the right choice for me. It performed very well in the field
  14. Made the same hit on a buck this past year. Tracked him for 300 yds before the trail dried up. Never did find him. I covered the whole area looking for remains and never did find him.
  15. joined the hoyt family this yr. Vectrix---really like it
  16. congrats--awesome buck--the trophy is in the eyes of the one holding the horns
  17. what night and time--i love their gett'n close show
  18. As with a lot of mountaineer fans I was very disappointed and angry when Coach Rod decided to leave. Coming after one of the biggest upsets in college football history and all the hype behind it, I can see why fans were upset from the sudden departure. I don't like seeing all the threats taken place though. Those idiots need to grow up and move on.. They need to remember that he took the program to greater heights. Better than their beloved Don Nehlen. Life will go on. I don't know if the new guy is the answer, but its time to move on. He had a great thing in Mo-town and could have probably retire there. He might regret his decision in a few years when he takes a few poundings from the Bucks. Thats sports now a days though. Some one is always looking for something better.. Maybe the young guys should go and talk to Joe-Pa up in Happy Valley about LOYALTY
