  1. Prayers sent, My sympathies...
  2. Great story ,well documented and one heck of a buck!
  3. Agreed! Love it here -wouldnt live anywhere else though!
  4. Ill add that at work sometimes im I get to do job interviews for the warehouse I work at. Most of them are young kids in their teens. I can tell within 5 minutes if the kid has had good disciplined raising or not. I wont go as far to say they are all bad either, cause weve had a few come through that mom and dad did a fine job with. These kids almost never miss work and do well with quality and quantity of work. You sure remember the ones that dont though. I believe some were raised by nintendo, and their bodies and minds show it!
  5. Nice one, I live just up the road from where you shot that one. Weve got folks comin here from every corner of the country this time of year. Aint you the ol' Knight muzzeloader guy?
  6. If you had your kids in the timber with you when they were litereally just weeks old. There still my best huntin buds!
  7. Im with ya on the sick feeling. It happens, but it always stinks. I wouldnt give up on expandables all together though. Rocky MT. makes great heads. Ive shot them for a long while with great results.
  8. Good luck and post pics. Ive shot a broadhead similar to Rage for about 10 years now. Rocky Mt. Gator heads. I wouldnt trade em' for nothin. Some of my entry/exit wounds over the years have looked like something from a horror flick.
  9. I pass on everyone im sure is a buck. Though at times hard to tell these little guys have a free pass in my book. Bucks for me dont fall until age 4.5. Nubbin heads better be on the look out for my kids though-this is there first year and all deer are tag qualifiers!
  10. If theres hunting pressure nearby-Hes big enough. Deer like that very seldom live another year in high hunter density areas. I pass up all kinds of deer, but that width would most likely be his demise in most areas. He may slip through the cracks though, who knows- Good luck regardless.
  11. Hope to have several more in the future. I would love to show yall the taxidermy shot!
  12. I noticed most of us "scent freaks" also have the biggest bucks in our avatars.
  13. Nice pictures, well focused and clear. Must have a nice zoom lens. Yall have some nice brow-tines on your side of the river. We got some giants too, but its tough to come by those 8" brows. Thanks for postin em'...
  14. Im nutty about scent control. I spray down everything with scentaway advanced and let it dry before heading out. I wear rubber boots and leave my clothes out in the timber behind the house on the line during hunting season. I will wash all clothes pre-season in a mix of bakin soda and scent-free laundry detergent. I even brush my teeth with bakin soda before each hunt. I dont use carbon suits of any kind, but I do use a base layer of Visa endurance. I very rarely get busted, but more importantly I dont burn out standsites by overhunting them. Im prolly even more nutty about that then scent control!
