William, State Farm is all I know about. They had a student discount, antitheft, and multi-line discount (I have my house insured through them and get a discount). I paid 1200 a year for liability in the late 80's and paid it myself -still had several wrecks.
My daughter is 11 and 16 will be here before you know it. I was thinking about a big vehicle for a first car, but was wondering if a mid-size with good handling, airbags, and high safety rating would be a better choice. I know it's a pain parking my F-150 in the city and getting around tight spaces. Not sure if bigger is safer in urban areas? Might lead to more fender benders which will jack rates up too.
