Just found a great Ballistic chart on Powerbelts web site that shows the velocity difference between 100 grains Pyrodex Pellets and 150 grains Pyrodex Pellets for each weight Powerbelt bullet. Go to - www.powerbeltbullets.com and look for the Ballistic Information link on the right hand side.

I've got the CVA Kodiak Magnum in 45 cal. I have shot 150 grains in the Pyrodex Pellets with a 275 grain Powerbelt Copper Aerotip. My gun seems to like 100 grains better in the Pyrodex Pellets but the 150 in the Triple 7. I have got some of the Buckhorn 209 on order and will let you know the results when I get to try it.

I have taken quite a few hogs down there and some pretty nice whitetails considering the area.

Finding anything for 45 is getting tough. seems like everything is 50. I have a 45 as well and shoot the Pyrodex pellets and Powerbelts. I have a jug of the Blackhorn 209 on order to try. But the Powerbelts are about the only route unless you want to go with the Barnes expander which is a 40 caliber in a 45 Sabot but they highly suggest you get the Barnes Allignment tool to use this one. Hornady also has a "Great Plains 45 Sabot. Midway USA has all of these. Hope this helps, Good Luck.
