  1. Are standard poodles good retrieving dogs because i would like to get a dog that is easy around the house and doesnt shed. I have heard from a lot of people they are great but have that they may not do well in frigid water
  2. I have all of these great duck hunting spots on this river and me and my friends always shoot ducks but only find 30% of them. The reason we cant find them is because they all land way back in the marsh and are impossible to find. Any tips?
  3. I have a remington model 48 sportsman 12 gauge and it has a full choke barrel on it. Does anyone know where I can get any other type of barrel/choke.
  4. Can anyone out there give me the dates on the SC santee delta public hunt dates? If not can anyone give me any tips for hunting in that area which is on the north santee?
  5. It looks like a hen ringneck its just the color of the bill doesnt mach up.
  6. haha man how did you find this on public land i am surprised no one has taken it
  7. this weekend I am gonna take my boat out and see if i can get a few ringnecks. I am putting out decoys but I was wondering will the ducks see me and not come in range if i dont have my boat camoflauged all the way? I am 15 and do not have enough money to buy more camo burlap but have one 54" by 12 foot roll of burlap for a 14 foot boat. If i try to cover it in palm fronds will that be good enough.
  8. Yea i do it for fun. What do you think i am gettin ready for the fall deer season to get them in a late afternoon eating habit. It is also way to hot to hunt right now with the mosquitos and the heat. Buck season just started a week ago.
  9. i have a deer stand in a swamp in georetown , sc and i have a good bit of does in the area and it is around 76 to 85 degrees up there now and they aren't movin around alot. when i usually put out corn its is gone in days but i put my last bag out and it has been untouched for a week. does this mean it needs to get colder so they are moving around more or the deer have left the area. also it is only buck season up where i am and i was wonderin what to do to get bucks to the area of my stand. and i have seen a lot of hog tracks earlier this summer and was wondering how do i get them to start comin back to my stand and feeding.
  10. got some land on the north santee river in georgetown county,sc and was wonderin if yall have ever been huntin around the santee delta, oaks plantation, or any other hunt clubs near it. also if yall could give me some prices for the hunt clubs around there if yall happen to no them.
  11. i have a colt wcf 38 single action army that was my great grandfathers which he either had when he was in the buffalo bill wild west show or when he was a sherriff in wyoming. condition: okay condition considering its age. Has a couple of notches on the barrel from where my great grampa used it as a hammer. The originial colt plastic handle is cracked with a piece gone from when my grandpa had to use it as a club. The rust on it is visible but the hole frame of the gun is extremley smooth and not sand paper feeling like rust feels somtimes on metal so it will take some work to get that rust off. Everthing else is in good condition except the saftey feature on it that when you put the hammer on half or full cock the cylinder wont lock and you can still keep turning so therefor it is possible that the cylinder may not be perfectly placed with the barrel so it is possible it could blow up. but did the first generation colts have that saftey feature that locks the cylinder? also if that part really is broken is it possible to get it fixed so i can shoot it and how much would it cost? also could yall give me a price range on how much this gun would be worth considering it being in the buffalo bill wild west show, used in a cattle town by a sherrif, and that being its a first generation colt. also if yall could give me some history on this gun.
  12. I was thinkin about trappin a few hogs at my property and my question is how hard is it to tap a pig. i no there is hogs because me and my freind saw tracks everywhere and we also saw 2 small pigs. should i put corn in the trap or somthin else and if i did put corn in it how easy should it be to catch one.
