I have all of these great duck hunting spots on this river and me and my friends always shoot ducks but only find 30% of them. The reason we cant find them is because they all land way back in the marsh and are impossible to find. Any tips?

this weekend I am gonna take my boat out and see if i can get a few ringnecks. I am putting out decoys but I was wondering will the ducks see me and not come in range if i dont have my boat camoflauged all the way? I am 15 and do not have enough money to buy more camo burlap but have one 54" by 12 foot roll of burlap for a 14 foot boat. If i try to cover it in palm fronds will that be good enough.

i have a deer stand in a swamp in georetown , sc and i have a good bit of does in the area and it is around 76 to 85 degrees up there now and they aren't movin around alot. when i usually put out corn its is gone in days but i put my last bag out and it has been untouched for a week. does this mean it needs to get colder so they are moving around more or the deer have left the area. also it is only buck season up where i am and i was wonderin what to do to get bucks to the area of my stand. and i have seen a lot of hog tracks earlier this summer and was wondering how do i get them to start comin back to my stand and feeding.

i have a colt wcf 38 single action army that was my great grandfathers which he either had when he was in the buffalo bill wild west show or when he was a sherriff in wyoming. condition: okay condition considering its age. Has a couple of notches on the barrel from where my great grampa used it as a hammer. The originial colt plastic handle is cracked with a piece gone from when my grandpa had to use it as a club. The rust on it is visible but the hole frame of the gun is extremley smooth and not sand paper feeling like rust feels somtimes on metal so it will take some work to get that rust off. Everthing else is in good condition except the saftey feature on it that when you put the hammer on half or full cock the cylinder wont lock and you can still keep turning so therefor it is possible that the cylinder may not be perfectly placed with the barrel so it is possible it could blow up. but did the first generation colts have that saftey feature that locks the cylinder? also if that part really is broken is it possible to get it fixed so i can shoot it and how much would it cost? also could yall give me a price range on how much this gun would be worth considering it being in the buffalo bill wild west show, used in a cattle town by a sherrif, and that being its a first generation colt. also if yall could give me some history on this gun.

my question is do doe's allmost allways travel in groups because i shot 2 does this year and they were both alone. but everyone is saying if you see a doe alone 99percent of the time it is a button buck. i do see does travel in groups all the time though. is it possible that the does i shot had some more does following or behind it like a half of a mile. my second doe though i did wait 10 minutes to see if any other bigger does came out.

i got some property on the north santee river in south carolina and i was wonderin where are some good places to hunt out there. and my idea of hunting out there is siting in a duck boat on the other side of the river with decoeys and in between both rivers is a WMA with a lot of wild ducks. when the people over on the Wma start shooting at the ducks it scares them out and where i am and hunting it acts as a rest pond. if any of you have ever hunted on the santee rivers please tell me anything you no about it.

do yall no of any good homemade hog attartcants that actually show results. i no of a few like mixing grape jello mix with corn but havn't tried it. also do hags like it better in cypress hardwoods or outopen in 3 to 2 foot high briers and marsh grass in a big field. please tell me what yall think

i have some land on the north santee river and last week i was walkin down my dock with buck shot and out past the tree line is like a 4 acre field of cushiony salt grass and if a deer walks out the only way it is safe is blending in. well anyways i walked down the dock and a nice 8 piont jumped out of the grass it was bedded down and i shot it but couldn't find it.(this is not where my stand is). well last weekend i got in my stand which is literally 400 feet away from where i shot the eight that got away and i shot a 100 pound doe. the thing is from where i shot the eight and doe it is sepereated by a tree line.(if i am at the end of the dock and walking back i walk through the marsh field then go into the tree line, and once i am 50 feet in the tree line my stand is there were i shot the doe and where the stand is it is surrounded by cypress trees so you cant always get a good shot.) my question is do i have a better chance of having my stand face the field or having it in the hardwoods where i cant see through the woods very well.(but the deer will somtimes stay in the hardwoods cuz they think they are safe.) so do yall think i will see more deer in the marshy field where they bed down at night( i usually see deer there earlyearly morning or middle of night) or hunt in cypress hardwoods where it is hard to see through trees. alsoright now i have to hunt with a shotgun using 12 gauge 2 3/4 00 buckshot because my dad says a rifle is too dangurous out there but if i am in a stand what does it matter the bullet will hit the ground. anywaysis it worth it to buy a rifled barrel for my shotgun and use slugs, stay with buckshot (cuz i did kill a doe with buckshot last week but it was real close), or beg my dad to use my .270. P.S. i no all of these questions may sound confusing but please tell me what yall think i should do.
