  1. Shoobee. Put up some videos of your expertise with your High Power, SIG, and CZ. Then I'll believe that you are what you say and not another poser. My friends and I at the club are real shooters and have real experience and are not afraid to display it on demand.
  2. The pistol in the movie is a Springfield 1911 which is one of your supposed favorites. Funny you didn't recognize it.
  3. So you like the Springfield 1911 45 ACP? Here it is. The problem here you cannot see because of camera angle is that the two end poppers only show an inch beyond the 4 in front.
  4. The Glock, Springfield XD, S&W M&P from what I've experienced and seen are the top guns for reliability and durability for people on a budget. We shoot them in Production Division and shoot them more in a month than most people will in ten years. I carry a Glock as do many of my friends that compete. When you go to shoots you will notice there are no Taurus or Ruger factory shooters (I wear a Crown Bullet factory shirt). There's a good reason. Quality and durability problems. You really need to get out of California sometime and come shoot here at Rio Salado in Mesa,Az. It's considered by many to be the best place to learn to shoot in the world. PM me if you are coming this way. We'll have a pistol for you too if you want. You may get to shoot with guys like JJ Racazza or Robbie Leatham depending on when you come. Here's JJ freezing to death. LOL
  5. They say it's a 3.5 pound kit but it always ends up being 4 or so if you measure the poundage from the center of the trigger and not the end (gives you more leverage). I had a bona fide 2 pound pull with one trigger but ignition with most primers was iffy when the gun got dirty because it used a very light striker spring. The Glock pull is actually like a "staple gun". LOL Try the setup I described and see if you like it. The good thing is that it is still a safe setup for concealed carry. Here I am with the kit in my Glock 22 carry gun. It looks like I miss on the first stage but I'm shooting at targets further downrange.
  6. Glock just went in numerical order as he designed the pistols so the numbers are just in order. The full size and mid size 9's were first because he was in the european police and military market then he broke into other markets and calibers. One thing you may want to know is that there is a large cottage industry that makes money improving Glock triggers. From my experience and from listening to other shooters we've pretty much determined that the best "bang for your buck" is Glockworx (ZEV industries) Competition spring kit and a Race connector will improve the trigger the best for the money and is reliable. It's only about $25.00 to install these items and it's easy to do. There are options that cost $250.00 and from our group experience it's not worth it.
  7. I've got one custom bolt action survival rifle in 30-06. It's a Scout type after Jeff Cooper's pattern. I shoot 165 grain Core Lokts through it because they are cheap. It will kill elk but I use Barnes Tipped TSX 165's then, which are too expensive to play around with normally. I've got a bunch of 150 grain spitzer Hornadays loaded for it too I need to go out into the desert and shoot rocks with.
  8. I shoot alot as you can probably tell if you watch any of my videos and see many different brands of pistols used in competition. The ones that run well and don't break are on the list I gave you. Many new shooters start with a Taurus or Ruger but quickly change over. Even a Glock with 20,000 rounds through it will outlast any Taurus or Ruger centerfire. My Glock carry gun has much more than that through it and like Strut says, it always goes BANG.
  9. Two brands that I definitely stay away from for self defense semi-auto pistols are Taurus and Ruger. (Ruger does make great revolvers and 22 autos) I'd go with a used Glock, S&W M&P or Springfiled XD for about the same price myself.
  10. I haven't heard such tough talk since 2nd grade. Sorry I sitting here just back from another archery hunt and I'm needed a good laugh. :pop:
  11. Here's some interesting reading. Read the link to the original "problem" too.Oath Keepers » Blog Archive » Oath Keepers to Place Billboard Outside Ft. Leavenworth to Protest Small Wars Journal Article Demonizing Tea Party as Future “Enemy” of U.S. Military
  12. I guess you still don't get it. This is not a political problem anymore. read the new thread I'm posting and read the link to the original article.
  13. Here's my EDC knife. I've had it awhile and it works well for most everything.
  14. Here's one more. Remember this is all done with a 1911 45 ACP so all you do is reload the darn thing.
