trophy taker tremeFC!!!! i had the same problem last year with the original trophy taker but this onoe has a full contain, imo it's better than the wisker bisket because it doesn't slow your arrow down and it still contains your arrow (as long as you don't put the bow upside down). killed a doe and a buck this year with it and no problem

Update!!!! Well i went out this morning with my buddy... after the 20 min walk back where i hunted last night, we started off where i shot him, looking for the arrow... well we started to look in the high grass and i found my arrow 10 yards in the waist high grass... i look at the arrow and it's in one piece and the rage head is intact and it has hair and a green buger on it, ok so it was a gut shot (that's why i backed out, didn't know the exact impact site last night, going to buy some lighted nocks next year)... we start looking and we walk about a hundred yards... nothing... so my buddy said lets start back at the arrow and see what we think... we walk back to the arrow and my buddy says "i say he ran a lil farther to the left then you think... so we start walking a trail (oh yea no blood cause it rained nonstop last night)... we split off near the lil trees... i walk about 10 more yards and see him lying dead!!!!! :clown: I hugged my buddy and said thanks... without his idea it would have taken longer to find him... he was about 20 yards north of where i saw him last, last night... all and all he went 100 yards from where i shot him... i hit him in the gut, but the rage did it's job...i can't think my buddy enough he helped me get it out of the woods (1hr 30min haul)... that's why he is my bestman at my wedding next june!!! also, when in doubt back out did the job!!! hope you all enjoy the pics... i talk to my other buddies and one is a scorer and he thinks he'll be high 130s or low 140s... he is a ten pointer with a great base, 2 lil kicker on the base (redneck scoring would score him a 12pointer lol) thanks again guys for your thoughts and well wishes!!! here are the pics enjoy!!!

went out tonight hunting and what an event.... i decided today that i would go out hunting. i have two different private grounds i can hunt but decided to go to public land tonight to let those areas cool before these next 3 weeks... well it started raining at 5 and i was like ok, i'll just tough it out... 6 came around and i noticed a deer in high grass, it bedded down in it until 630... i was bored so i grunted loudly 2 times, when i did it the deer stood up and i looked through my rangefinder (didn't have my binos with me) and noticed it looked like a possible shooter... the deer stood there for about 5 minutes so i grunted again at it... when i did he started to walk towards the open field and to my way...i started to lose light quickly thanks to it be overcast, the deer made it to 60 yards and shook its body off from the rain and i noticed it was a shooter buck, tall and wide, the buck continued to walk my way and at 25 yards i took the shot... wack... the deer dropped then stumbled backwards then ran off into the high grass and stopped... then i lost him due to the light... i got down out of my stand and looked for my arrow but did not find it... so i decided to give it overnight, even though it's suppose to rain... i have an idea where he went down at... i figure i would side on the caution side, so i wouldn't spook him off his bed... my buddy and i are going to look for it in the morning... hopefully i'll be showing you the buck tomorrow night... hopefully i can get him and get a good nights rest

well it seems like it has been forever since i've been the woods, but it was just a couple days ago... i figure i would give it a good weeks rest after hunting hard the past 2 weeks... i'm hoping that my 2 areas cool down a little even though i never really pressured any deer. i figured it be nice to let things settle and get ready for the next 4 weeks which will be a great and exciting time in the woods... i figure i could also get a lot of school work done during this week so i can be all ready for the woods... the weather has been crummy outside but this cold is nice for the deer... everyone i talk to has seen a number of does and a couple small bucks running around, but nothing major yet... well if you guys have anything to add just add!

Saturday: I went out in the morning only (due to other family obligations) but it was still a great morning... the morning started off with a lot of fog and cold conditions. At 750 i had 5 does come in not more than 5 yards away.. 2 shooters and 3 yearlings... i have yet to buy a bonus tag (since i shot a doe last tuesday and saving the other regular archery for a buck)... one of the yearlings walked pass an arrow that i dropped when getting set up and did even pay attetion... they stayed around the area until 830 then went off and bedded i believe... Sunday: I went out in the morning before church (had to get out at 950) and saw 4 does all together. Tonight i went out and had a doe eating in the field at 3:50. i snuck around her and made it to my stand and finally got set up at 400... 415 a six pnt (small very small) came walking out into the beans. 500 until dark i had 2 does eating and bedding in the beans...nothing else for the night... i don't think i pushed them any when i got out... i walked by where the 6 pnt went into the woods and i kicked him up i believe... you could tell he was making a scrape cause the area stunk to high heavens like buck juice.... Plan: my plan is to take this week off and half of next off to give my morning and night spots time to rest... it seems like we are in that "lawl" period... this should give time for everything to settle and to start getting into the "great" time to be in the woods... Good luck to all

well, after all the rain, i'll be heading back out in the morning... been seeing a lot of little bucks wondering around but no big ones yet, hopefully it's not that lawl time right now, i know it has to come but i love it when they start moving!!! well good luck to you all who are going out this weekend... i'll post something on sunday if i haven't shot one by then

Well, I went out this morning and it was a great one. I had 2 does come in at 750, came a couple yards away from the steps of my treestand, then at 830 i decided to hit the horns a little, I just tickled the horns together and 5 minutes later had a spike come in and came within 5 yards of my stand... i believe he pushed 3 more different does back my way (the other does from 750 went in another directions)... so I believe the little guys are starting to get into the frenzy... just waiting on the bigger ones, I think probably 2 more weeks for them to really start pushing. I'm going to lay off until saturday night i think if not sunday night... Try to stay dry guys it's suppose to rain all day today and tomorrow!
