in all of bow season and so far this gun season (with only 2 weeks left) ive only seen 2 bucks a 4 or a 6 and a dinky spike, and a total of 13 or 15 deer all does mostly young. this is the worst ive ever seen it. theres bunches of rubs in certain spots where i hunt but have not seen any deer at all. your not the only one havin trouble!

hey guys just had an interesting conversation with my dad and thought this was worth asking. he said that the kick of my old remington 870 pump 20ga with 2 3/4 slugs has the same or maybe more recoil than our 30-06's. so what do you guys think? any thought on this being true or is it just the imagination playin games??

same thing here ruth. im not sure where exactly you are in NY but here in the schenectady county (bow only) it has been extremely slow and even up in salem for the first weekend of the season. i have been taking every chance i can because work is really busy. the highs were 60s and lows only 40s or 50s which is screwing it all up. saw a 4 or 6 pointer last weekend but thats only the 2nd buck ive seen this year! things need to get goin real quick, im itchin to smack one

sounds like the true talker is one of the favorites. im currently alternating between that and just a regular primos tube that has the pull out extender thing. so far no luck with either

just a thread to see what grunt call you guys are all using and what you like about it or dont like and how much success youve had with it.

i have the standard small EZ hanger that only holds my bow and i had trouble at first until i learned the trick. you do need to give it a solid jab into the tree then with the arm that is closest to the tree (not the arm with the bow hook) grab it and press into the tree and keep turning. with the pressure towards the tree and that first good jab, you should be set.

hey everybody just lookin for some feedback and how the primo's original can call works and if anyone is using it right now. if you are, is it in combination with a grunt call or just solo? also found a few scrapes this morning including 1 20 yards from my stand and i was thinkin about putting a drip bag over it to keep him coming back, any thoughts on this?

that sounds good, but would i be able to use one pin out to 20 yards? im shootin a hoyt powertec at 58 pounds with a 27" draw and CX hunter 200s and a 100 gr. g5 striker. id like to have the one pin thats adjustable like that impact archery sight but if havin a fixed one pin out to 20 with a second pin for 30 then i could deal with that

does that come with a yardage tape or how does that work out?

this year has just started and im already having thoughts about sights for after the season. right now i have a truglo brightsite extreme with 3 pins. now for me the top pin is good but the other pins are harder to focus on so my thought is simple, find a good one pin sight. now all these sights say sight in at 20 and then 60 yards but im not going to be taking any shot beyond 30 or 35 yards and 60 yards is a ways out there so i guess my question is what one pin sight would you guys recommend? and is there a one pin sight that doesnt require 20 and 60 yard sight ins? any help is appreciated guys!
