Hey everyone...Thanks for the awesome responses. I am going to Check out your RT knives as soon as I leave this site. I didn't realize that Michael Waddel was Christian, that is great and I am glad to hear that. I knew Mathews Bows were, and I will do some digging on the Mission line of Bows. Keep em coming I am really enjoying this!

I first want to say that I am a loyal Realtree customer, and will continue to be so. My loyalty is because of David Blanton, what he stands for and because I want to continue to support he and the team with my purchases. I will say however, over the last few years a lot of companies have been developing their own brands of camo. Some of them are very good, especially for treestand hunters. I will not name specifically your competition. But I am very hopeful that Realtree will respond to the newer more open and outline breaking patterns with something of their own. There are some who think that Loyalty to a company or brand is silly, and that you should simply purchase what works the best. I disagree, and as stated previously will support Realtree. However I would love to see something soon in response to your competition, as I am amazed at one particular patterns ability to break up your outline better then anything else I have ever seen.

Thank you for sharing that. I just ordered a new Muddy Outdoors safety harness should be here in a day or so. I hope that everyone has Christ as this man did, but you still have to be responsible for ourselves and wear the harness.

Hello everyone. Who know of businesses in the hunting industry that are Christian owned? I know there is Tru-Ball even have a nifty little slogan on their packaging. I heard that Lone Wolf Treestands has a new owner who is Christian. Anyone know if this is true? I did see the pic on their home page that kneeling as if in prayer which was cool. I try and buy from Christian businesses if I can. Support the family you know. I need to make some gear purchases for the upcoming season and hope you guys can post what you know.....Thanks.... Not sure if Bill is a Christian, but I support Realtree simply because of David Blanton. It is sometimes tempting to stray to other camo, but remain true to my brother David and will continue to do so.

: ) Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I am truly excited about this section of the site. We need brothers and sisters here, it is so easy to make something good even deer hunting into an idol (guilty). Hopefully we can keep each other grounded and help each other see everything in the proper perspective.

Fireproof Is a must see for all married couples. Is much better then Facing the Giants. They are definitely maturing in their movie making.

This is simply one of the best messages I have ever heard. It is timely in this modern world. I can't encourage you enough to take the time to listen to this. It may very well change your life. I hope you are blessed with this.

I can not say enough good things about Muck Boots. They are bar none the single best boots I have ever worn and I have worn most of them out there. They are warm, and unbelievably comfortable. The only negative I have about them is no Realtree. Go to a dealer and try on the Woody Max Extreme. OK Point 2. David Blanton's suggestion. I had the privilege of meeting David about 7 years ago at a seminar in Bass Pro Cinnci. He is genuinely the nicest and most humble guy you would ever want to meet. However, Like him my feet are cold in July. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on the best name brand boots money could buy. Some worked better then others, but regardless my feet froze after a while regardless of the boot. David suggested the Boot Blankets and a couple of hand warmers. I personally use 3 of the 18 hour hot hands, but that is me. I do not go on an all day stand hunt without them. Is like standing on a furnace all day long...is heavenly. Even if it's in the upper 30's or 40's if I am sitting all day I am not taking chances of cold feet ruining and all day hunt. Of course when it is really cold, I wear them regardless of how long I plan to sit. So yes they work perfectly, you can trust Dave on this one. Point 3....My feet are always so cold because they sweat so much. I can't remember who told me this, but is true as well. At least 78% virgin merrino wool socks, and a little extra space in your boots. I can sit all day with these socks and my muck boots. Now it is not like standing on a furnace as the boot blankets are, but is tolerable, which I could not have said before hand. NEVER WEAR COTTON. that is the best advice I can give for keeping your feet warm. P.S. You can only get Ice Breakerz Boot Blankets from Cabelas. So God Bless and happy hunting. Thanks for listening to my 2 cents.

Hello Ladies and Gents. I think it is time for me to upgrade my entire hunting wardrobe for 2009 fall season. Oddly enough it seems my clothes have shrank...LOL. The question of opinion is this. I was pretty set on Gamehide clothing...seems to be really good stuff. However I have recently been reading about RutWear. I have been unable to google and find virtually any reviews of RutWear at all. So does anyone here have any experience or opinions with either? I am very grateful for any and all input. Take care and God bless....Look forward to hearing from you.

What's your best tip for staying warm?
Indianahunter replied to Illinois59's topic in Hunting Equipment
Cabelas Icebreaker Boot Blankets Believe it or not this tip came from David Blanton when I met him in Cincinnatti a few years ago. Like David my feet get cold in July. I have bought every expensive boot known to man to no avail. The product is called boot blankets by Ice Breakers, Cabela's only. Take Three 18 hour hot hands, and place them in each BB about 1/2 hour before going to your stand. Wear one pair of regualr socks. Slip your boots off in the stand and slide your sock feet in the BB. It is like having your feet over a register all day. David said he can sit from daylight till dark in Canada like this. I know I can sit all day. Definitely works, be careful not to stand on the hand warmers though, they will burn you. I usually like to position 2 of them in the toe area and one in the mid section off to the side. Here is the down side. They are a little noisy if you have to slide your feet on your platform, and they are not waterfproof. If you are careful though, they are absolutely the best option. Hope this helps. Take care and God Bless.
