  1. Why? Why buy all the gear for her to hunt for an hour, which is how long it would take her to want to go home, and regret every minute of it? I'd rather take my 5yr old. Oh...love you honey! My fault. She is too busy watching One Tree Hill.

  3. Bob Rooney was one of Al Bundy's friends on Married w/ Children...not actually me just a fan.
  4. He's from Michigan and does alot of seminars in and around the surrounding states. 23 Michigan record book bucks etc... Endorsed by scentlok too I've read a couple of his books and was really impressed, mainly cause he specializes in high pressured whitetails on small parcels like I have to hunt. http://www.deer-john.net/index.html He turns down alot of opportunities to hunt from people cause he doesn't want to be a hypocrit and hunt non-pressured deer like we see in alot of TV shows. Anyway, I invited him to Indiana to hunt thinking he wouldn't really be interested and he got back w/ me and is all about coming down and actually wants to come down within the month to scout the properties. So I'm pretty stoked...I'm sure I can learn alot from him.
  5. Anyone ever here of John Eberhart?
  6. According to my trail cam pics...the deer that run my property in central Indiana just shed within the last 2 weeks.
  7. I've had cards not get recognized on my laptop yet others will. The ones that dont get recognized I will then take to my other computer and it will recognize it. So the idea that the controller on the card being damaged is not always correct.
  8. Scotguard I have 7 different game cameras now...and I like the SG550 Scotguard cameras hands down. For the price $200 and performance, there is no competition. I have Moultrie I40s from 07 & 08 and the 07 is a pretty good camera but Ive had alot of trouble w/ the 08. I recommend IR cameras over regular flash too.
  9. get fat Besides getting fat... I'm going to do alot more scouting this year. Now until the end of febuary I will be trying to capture the big boys, that made it, on camera. Conditioning the deer to come up away from the only piece of land I can't hunt in a half mile. Shed hunting in march & april(or whenever cams tell me it's time)...Hanging stands and clearing shooting lanes in May...cams back out late June unless I suspect trespassers of course...Right now, I just bought my new Plat book and I'm knocking on doors trying to secure new land so that I don't overhunt my "honey hole".
  10. nothin Went back out sunday at 2:00 and didn't see a single thing...besides alot of squirrels...which is what I obviously should be hunting this year. Only heard 1 shot before 5 and heard a total of 9 by dark. 4 of those shots were from 2 individuals shooting twice apiece. In Madison County the deer seem to be almost(besides some unknowing yearlings) soley nocturnal even during the rut. Guess I need night vision to see deer around here.
  11. Arghhh... Could have shot a small doe(twice) last night(15th) but decided against it cause I didn't want to scare anything away for this morning. Didn't see anything this morning and only heard TWO shots as of 1045! I'm convinced there are only a handful of deer in Madison county as I have only seen 2 deer, counting the doe last night, in the last 3 weeks. I don't get it. On another note...my cousin shot an absolute monster last night in Jefferson county. Currently figured at 158. - Must be nice...I'm just happy w/ the slightest glimpse of a deer in my neck of the woods.
  12. Confused I'm confused...I have had a difficult time trying to pattern the deer on my huntin land this year. I know they are there but can't for the life of me figure them out. Is it unusual for deer to bed in the most pressured areas?
  13. Small Parcel? In Indiana most of the hunting land are small parcels and the number of deer that are frequently on said parcels are usually limited. So with that said I would hold off until post rut...the more does you have on your huntin land can only help drive the bucks wild come rut time.
  14. Even though it's been rather warm, I've seen deer everytime out thus far. Albeit does though and no bucks except for 1 button buck...but atleast I've been seeing them.
