  1. I had this problem with my Browning quad parka. The fix was velcro. I put velcro on the bottom of the colar and on the coat so that it would lay flat against the coat. No more contact and toasty warm.
  2. Back to the original question........ I usually put mineral blocks and feed out staring in april or may. Then around september 1st start feeding corn and pellets. I personally don't hunt over my feeders, but to each there own. I do hunt on trails leading to the feeder, don't see this as being any different as hunting trails leading to food plots, bean fields, or wheat fields! As far as being able to shoot any buck at any time, nothing could be further from the truth. I get several pictures of different bucks at the feeders and quite often never see the deer during daylight hours. More often than not, i think the feeders in my area turn the deer nocturnal since they can come out in the cover of darkness to eat. All the deer I have shot in the past several years have come during the rut when the deer were either following a doe or cruising looking for a doe. And, lastly, this past year was the first time that i actually shot the buck that I wanted to by the pictures i got from my feeders.
  3. Have used them since they came out and never had a problem. Only fletchings i use now.
  4. I have 3 stealth cams and like them very much. The only downside is it does have a bit of a slow trigger speed. But i have 2 on feeders and one facing down a trail so the trigger speed is not a big issue for me. As far as battery life goes, I couldn't be happier. Take 1,000's of pics each year and have not had to change batteries during the year. When i take them down in the spring, they still have good life to the batteries. Put new batteries in them when i put them out in the summer and their good to go.
  5. PM me if you have any other questions.
  6. Probably around Erie and St. Paul. You won't be disappointed. Unless you don't like deer well over 200 lbs. and racks with alot of mass..........................
  7. I hunt in southern Allen County about 15 miles north of the Neosho County line. I shot a 12 point that scored a little over 157 this year. The guy that hunts on the same section shot buck that scored in the 180's. Have pics of several deer over 150. My area would be closest to Chanute in Neosho County. St. Paul is in souteast Neosho County and my sister and brother-in-law live there and I know they have shot good bucks around that area too. You should have a chance at a buck of a lifetime if everything comes together.
  8. What part of neosho county? I'm in Allen the county north. Lots of different type of terraine from big woodlots to creek bottoms to over grown pastures. One thing for sure, BIG BUCKS in any part of the county you will be hunting!
  9. The big boys have been seeking for about a week with the little ones chasing for about 2 weeks. Saw a good one yesterday morning dogging a doe. Wasn't chasing full speed but dogged her every where she went. Should be chasing hard and heavy this weekend. Get rid of this full moon and should be awsome.........................
  10. Great buck, but I do believe it is the 2nd biggest taken in KS this year. One shot in SEK green scores about 9 inches better............. Both are pigs. No pics yet, the guy that shot it is kinda shy about it still.
