  1. I live in Omaha but hunt down by Nebraska City. Winds are BLOWING like crazy:mad:, 30 mph, I can't hunt Sat but will be in stand all day on SUN. Winds are expected to die down Sat night and only blowing 10mph for SUN. Sun should shine and gets those bedded down deer up and a moving. This week is going to ROCK!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D
  2. :DIt's just getting started but I have recieved reports from 4 different buddies who hunted the last 24 hours. The Bucks are chasing does and some of the does are letting them catch um. If you have the time GET IN THE TREES AND STAY THERE!!! Just wanted everyone to know what the staus in NEBRASKA is. Fuzz1435
  3. I agree with layers. KEEP THEM DRY!! If you need to wear few layers as you walk into your stand and then layer up when you get there. This prevents you from generating too much body heat and starting a sweat. If that base layer gets wet from sweat it makes it more difficult. I don't care what type of wicking fabric you have. I work as a US Army instructor for 5 years and served for a total of 15years before starting a career in law enforcement. Worked many a long day in VERY cold weather. Wool is your friend unless it gets wet. Fuzz:)
  4. That is what scares me. I don't have the funds to do all of the lawyer stuff but would hate to see my idea just die. What does a guy do who has no funds to move forward. I have the skills to weld the example. Fuzz
  5. I use the basspro one also. Works great for hauling all my extras. Zippers are kinda LOUD:mad: but many of them are. Easy to load and carry a long ways.
  6. I have a great idea for a new treestand design.:D:D How do I get it started and introduced into the market or a treestand company? Don't want my idea to get taken and have some big company claim they had the idea all along.

Fawns are still with the does in Nebraska. Seen a few small bucks but no chasing. Have not tried rattling or estrus doe yet. Big hunt on Halloween AM, plan to try then. Cold in the AM's (30's-40's) warming up to 60's and 70's during daytime. Fuzz
  8. Scheels So one at the local Scheel's in OMAHA. VERY BIG!!!!!:eek: looks like it may work.
  9. Had that surgery done in 05. Had to use a crossbow for 2 years. Had the surgery in OCT of 05 and still having minor rehab in 06 and was advised not to push it. I am currently, and happily:D, using a PSE with a 70lbs draw weight. It is possible to recover and with good rehab and your ability to rehab thru the PAIN!! DON'T rush back into your bow. Hunt with the crossbow and listen to your rehab expert and DO YOUR EXCERCISES AT HOME like they tell you 2. Best of luck!! FUZZ
  10. Guys Looking for any input on the VS1 scents or any for that matter. I have NEVER:( had any luck with any scents that I can truely say has brought deer in. Can you guys advise what has brought you sucess or that has NOT been worth it! Thanks:D
  11. I hunt in Nebraska. Got great trail cam pics of deer on a trophy rock all the way up to late Sept. Great looking bucks also. Then they seem to quit the trophy rock and I have no pics of bucks on the cams anymore. Where did they go? Acorns are dropping everywhere but the does are still hitting the the rock. Why not the bucks? Should I be trying something else? First time doing this cam thing and need some advise. Fuzz
