  1. Yes you should. Right now banks are at around 5% near me. Talking to the banks, they are starting to raise interest rates again because they are getting overwhelmed with re-fi's and they are trying to slow things down. Its unlikely that rates will drop to below 5% anytime soon. And even if they do.......if it drops another point...you can always re-fi again. For my re-fi, I am keeping my payment the same, which means I can pay off my home in 10 years. With extra payments, I can cut it in half.
  2. Very cute. You can never have enough pictures.

    Spring?

Yeah...I am starting to get cabin fever myself!
  4. I have been shooting a Hoyt Magnatech for years. Loved it. Last year I switched to a PSE X-Force. With my bow outfitted, my arrow speed went from 263 feet per second with the Hoyt to 311 feet per second with the X-force. I am really liking the x-force right now.
  5. I have been there too. I understand how frustrating it can be. Next year, when you do shoot big boy, it will be all that more rewarding. Best of luck in 2009!

    I'm confused

I like the whisker biscuit myself. No worries about your arrow coming off of the rest. When you get buck fever like I do......the whisker biscuit is a necessity.
  7. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing this with us.
  8. Wished I could of been there too? Couldn't get down there this time.
  9. 10-pointer I shot in Illinois this year. http://www.realtree.com/forums/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=150
  10. I use a whisker biscuit. I get buck fever so bad, if I used a drop away, it would bounce all over the place when I drew back my bow string.
  11. Nice Buck Chong! Congratulations!
  12. Uhhhh......I do not get it either? I have a friend who fell out of his ladder stand and hurt his back. He has had seven surguries...no luck. He will be in pain and on medication for the rest of his life. You won't catch me in a tree without a harness.
  13. Nice job Adam! Congratulations buddy.
  14. I have never seen them eat them? But, the hedge apples have scared the bejeezsus out me on several occasions while sitting in my treestand. The woods are quiet, the air is crisp, and all of the sudden "boom!" Cuz they sound like a bomb going off when they fall and hit the ground! Dag nabbit....dang hedge apple got me again!
  15. I wash my clothes and then place them in a carbon sack with a "earth scent" dryer sheet. I only spray my clothes when I get into my stand after I have generated some heat. The dryer sheet really does a good job of impregnating my clothes with cover scent. But don't over-do-it. If you leave the dryer sheet in your carbon sack for more than a few days the cover scent becomes overwhelmingly strong and may do more harm than good. Using the dryer sheet is also less expensive than spray and lasts longer. I also put a dryer sheet in my other gear like my backpack. I very rarely have problems with getting busted due to scent. Conversely, I have taken quite a few deer that have come in from down wind of me.
