  1. Three small strips of reflective tape work good for me.
  2. Has anybody tried white hot powder?
  3. On the knight disc style, once you load the gun and insert the disc try putting some crisco around the outside of the disc. This not only water proofs the breech area but also keeps it from rusting. This is what knight told my buddy and he's not had any problems since.

    Trespassers

Who ever the land owner is needs to file a report for destruction of private property. If they accept help from the federal forestry program this could lead to big fines for cutting down certain trees. A report will also force law enforcement or you're local game warden to investigate. If they still won't help contact the county sheriff and so on.
  5. Cograts on what sounds like a picture perfect hunt. Smacking a doe and letting the boys grow.
  6. I have been shooting side lock muzzle loaders for twenty years and just recently switched to an inline for hunting. I can tell you from experience that a 54 cal shooting the way that you say yours does will take a deer quickly and ethically with ease. Go and hunt with supreme confidence and the best of luck with the big one.
  7. Not using 209's will result in an incomplete burn thus negating any possible chance of obtaining accuracy. Not to mention the possibility of damage to you're gun.
  8. Not sure about youre kodiak but my 209 magnum likes 150 grains behind a 295 grain powerbelt. My brother and I both shoot 2 inch groups at 100 yards.
  9. I am recovering from shoulder surgery (august 08) and have been told that I may not be able to pull my bow back with that arm anymore. Was wondering if anybody has had this same surgery (slap repair with reattached biceps muscle) and if they were able to return to bowhunting. Also I thought maybe switching to shooting left handed might be an option. Thanks in advance for any information.
