Well there are a ton of great bows out there today. Pretty much every company is producing solid bows today. First off depends on which cam system you prefer. Single cam, binary cams, hybrid cams and the the off shoot cams that derive themselves from them. Bowtech uses what they call an Overdrive Binary cam system. Do you like cable stops that contact the cables for a softer back wall, or a limb stop that hits the limbs for a rock solid back wall. A bows grip to me is the one thing that will decide for me, if the grip isn't what I like then I will not buy it. Look at bows from Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, PSE, Bear, Prime, New Breed Archery, Elite, Strother Archery and Obsession Archery. There are even more companies, and they all build a solid shooting quality bow. Remember speed isn't everything, all bows today have a plenty fast IBO speed rating. The best way to find the perfect bow for you is to hit up every shop near you and shoot as many as you possibly can. Let the bow pick you. Don't let a bows brand name or high IBO speed rating decide for you.

I try and shoot my bow every day, all year long. Shooting is so much fun, I can't imagine not shooting for more than a day.

Do any of you use a B-Stinger stabilizer?
TREESTANDSNYPER replied to RangerClay's topic in Bowhunting
Over the past few years I've had a B-Stinger on several of my bows. I've used the 8.5", 10.25" and 12" rods. I've shot with 8, 11 and 14 oz weights. Overall they do a great job at helping you hold on target better, and controlling the reaction of the bow at the shot. They don't do much (if anything) for vibration, but they do exactly what a stab is supposed to do. -
For the first time since my first yearI started bowhunting (13 years ago) I'm sticking with the bow I have right now. I've owned a ton of bows over the past years, I'd say on average 5 new bows every year. I've finally found a bow that I shoot extremely well and fits me perfectly. I got this bow back in about September, and it has finally occurred to me after all these years that if it aint broke...don't mess with it.

Well this is my latest addition to the arsenal. It's a New Breed Nemesis, with a custom 2 tone finish done by Lee Martin. The bows finish is done in OD Green/Dark Earth cutouts. The grips are made by Create A Grip and are made out of water buffalo horn. Strings and cables are VaporTrail OD green and buckskin. I'm shooting an Axcel Armortech HD sight, Limbdriver rest, and a Posten Fat Max 10" stab with a Shrewd QD.

Here's some pics of my New Breed Archery Genetix...Samurai Edition with the new for 2010 Barnsdale split limbs.

The only stab I'll put on my bows is a B-Stinger. If you want a real stabilizer, one that does what it's supposed to do (actually stabilize the bow), then check out a B-Stinger. They come in 8.5", 10.25", and 12" carbon rods...and end weights in 8 oz., 11 oz., 14 oz., and 17 oz.

I have a Bowtech Admiral FLX. Awesome shooting bow, super quiet and zero handshock. It's completely dead at the shot. Very impressed with it, and how well it shoots.
-
Have one on my Admiral, it's a very nice rest. It was super easy to set-up and tune...no issues with it whatsoever. No problems with wear on the roller either. Also it's easily the quietest drop away rest I've ever used.

YUP, I bought a Bowtech Admiral FLX...sweet shooting bow!
-
Thanks...it looks awesome, and shoots even better!
-
Thanks guys, I just got my Emerald Green/Black Bling Sling in for it today...looks sweet BTW! I put quite a few arrows through the Admiral this evening, and I'm really loving this bow. Still trying to decide wether or not to put a B-Stinger on it or not. It holds on target very well, and at 20 yards is very accurate. I have a 7" Octane stab right now, and it seems to be doing an excellent job so far. Have to see how well it does at 30+ yards...if I shoot it well at the longer distances I'm going to stick with the Octane stab.

Picked up my new Bowtech Admiral FLX the other day, and set it up and got her tuned to perfection this morning. This is my first Bowtech ever, and it's sure delivers on all the good things I've heard over the years. Super quiet and absolutely ZERO hand shock. Dead in the hand.

Thank you very much...it's a sweet shooter.

Nope, not a Mathews. It's a New Breed Archery Genetix...Samurai Edition.

You got that right! Boy he was heavy...we had a long way to get him out, and with all the rain we've had lately it was super muddy and the creek we had to cross was pretty deep! Thank goodness my dad and friend Dan came to give me a hand. Even with the cart my legs are still burning today!

Hang in there, the actions heating up. It's only a matter of time before you'll have one on the ground!

Well I finally got it done on Halloween. I was in the stand at 3:15 yesterday afternoon, about a half hour later he came in from behind me, and offered a 20 yard slightly quartering away shot. I drilled him through both lungs with a Rocket Steelhead tipped Easton Flatline and he made it about 25 yards and fell over! The NBA Genetix laid the smack down on it's first deer, and man was it a nice one!

Athens Archery is looking for National Field Staff shooters
TREESTANDSNYPER replied to rodney482's topic in Bowhunting
They buy the bow from you, yes at a discounted price for them...but Athens is still making a sale. Then they go out and spread the word about your products for you, and they get to tell their buddies they're on a "Field Staff". You throw in a shirt/hat/decal for them to wear around (also FREE advertising for your company)...sounds like a great way to move (sell) some bows and get free advertising. It's a win win situation for Athens. -
Easton ST Axis N-Fused. I'm thinking of buying some Easton Flatline's soon too.
-
Limbdriver, or Mathews Downforce...I've used both and they are simply awesome rests.
-
Another vote for the Limbdriver.

1 problem with the Reezen is the soft rubber on the string suppressors, I've heard a ton of complaints about this issue. String either tearing them up in a matter of 50 shots, or jumping past the suppressor completely. They have come out with a harder compound for the suppressors, but nonetheless still an issue that alot of guys have had to deal with.
