  1. Nice, real nice! Congrats on taking a buck of my dreams!!:bang: LOL!
  2. 3 yellow dot from the top...even if he jumps the string, he is yours!
  3. The 2nd yellow dot from the top...let her fly!
  4. Be patient and wait for him to look away and turn more broadside. At 38 yards it is too long of a shot to take an alert deer with a bad angle.
  5. Although he is not big enough, if I were aiming on this buck, it would be the 2nd yellow dot from the top, since it is a steep shot angle. It would put him down quickly.
  6. OK...I took a few deep breaths and am fine now! But Iowa....never mind...Ha!
  7. I have lived near Iowa for my entire life and even when my dad coon hunted there, they decided to make non residents buy tags for more than the fur was worth. It is disgusting to me, that they do not want non residents in there state, never have and never will. So I stay out of that state and purchase very little from there and live only 3 miles from there. I hunt out of state, but would much rather go hunting where they at least to pretend to like a non resident. I have dealt with Iowans coming to Missouri for half the price, tresspass, hunt Missouri with shotguns during the Iowa season, while I was trying to bowhunt....so bitter, yes, I am towards Iowa! I detest Iowa! And if I did not hunt out of state , where in the **** did I kill a bear, elk, antelope and mule deer...Missouri?
  8. Missouri has had this system for several years, along with point restictions. It seems now, the honor system is in place. The poachers will poach, no matter what and the honest, will be honest. I have found some bucks with less than 4 points on one side dead and left. It is not right to leave game. Some had such small antlers, they could have been mistaken for a doe in poor light conditions. I like the telecheck and online check, especially when gas is so high, but it hurts the businesses that checked in deer too.
  9. Congrats.... I have my 2nd Hoyt and I truly don't think I will ever change.
  10. It is nuts! I am not a fan of Iowa. I live about 3 miles from there. You get screwed every time you cross the border. I have friends that I could hunt on there, but the tags are simply crazy! I am sick of the pay to play attitudes that some have. Maybe when their executive jobs dry up, they will get their heads and noses out of the clouds and be an average hunter like the rest of us. Hunting is all about the money and I don't like it one bit. Just because some are not rich, does not mean they should not be able to enjoy the great sport....but that is the way it is. We are going to be like England. Iowa has always charged way more for non resident privliges, whether it was for birds or coons. I decided if they don't want me to hunt there, then I won't shop there either. I say scew Iowa! Don't hunt there!
  11. It is all a bit disturbing to me. If the whites never voted for our president because he was black, he would not have been elected. Yet, about 90% of the black voters voted against McCain.... and who is racist here? Talk about double standards!
  12. ok... I own a .40 glock, but it is too big to conceal. I know a .25 is small...but I was just wanting something that in some situations to carry in my pocket. It has a grip safety, so it would be safe.
  13. I have a .25 auto that was my granddads. It is small enough to fit in the palm of my hand and I was thinking about using it for my concealed carry. I want something that will expand very well. I don't plan on using it for anything but protection.... but if I were actually in the situation to protect myself or family want a bullet that will perform well. I am not planning on reloading ammo for it... but just want some good expanding factory ammo. Any ideas?
  14. It is time for hunters to take to the offensive and stop PETA. We are always on the defensive, it seems, so lets all join. I came across this on another hunting site. I just joined, it is a brand new and its free to join. www.huntersagainstpeta.com
  15. I have seen some used Vectrix for around $450! I paid $640 for mine new! $450 would be steal.
