Carrots, radishes, kohlrabi, and spinach are already up in my garden. My personal favorite, wild asparagus, has just started poking out of the ground.

Silvertip,
Were you trying to draw Three Forks for a cow or a bull? Three Forks for a cow is as close to a gimme as there is in Colorado. It takes at least one point. If you (or your Wife or Daughter) really want to shoot a cow try drawing 3 forks. My Wife hunted it a few years ago and shot her cow out of a group of 600+ animals. I have a couple of friends whose kids draw 3 forks every other year, they always tag out. They provide a guide free of charge (you have to hunt with one of their employees) and will help you get your critter out of the woods. It's a great hunt for those who don't want to venture too far from the road or want to put meat in the freezer.

The killing of the 'Spider Bull' brings to light a very bad part of hunting that is becoming altogether too common. That is the fact that money can buy you anything and that many states, including my state of Utah are now pandering to money. It stinks and goes against everything that an American sportsman should stand for.

The north rim is rather high in altitude, around 8500', so bring your snow boots for March dates. It's always a good idea to get an idea of the layout of the land but scouting it in March may lead to misconceptions of where to find deer during the fall. It's a beautiful area most especially when there aren't very many tourists, like when you are going.

Howdy from the intermountain west. For my all world QB I'll still take John Elway. He carried a series of mediocre Dan Reeves coached teams for a long time. By the time he had a decent coach (now fired) he was past his prime and had his best seasons. At least he was smart enough to go out on top and retire after his second straight super bowl win. sory for a long winded non Favre topic.

I've owned a numebr of rifles over the years. My last two have been Tikka t3's and they flat out shoot. The 3006 shoots .75" groups with factory loads. I don't shoot at enough elk with it to bother handloading. My T3 in .223 that is my coyote and prairie dog weapon shoots .5" with 45 grain vmax bullets. right out of the box accuracy is a beautiful thing.
