  1. I'd recommend a state forum, I noticed one with a google search called southerncaliforniahunting.com that may could hook you up with some hunting partners. Good luck!
  2. I'd like to shoot a doe in the butt with one just to get a look at her expression lol.
  3. Well also fwiw I wasn't suggesting buying a bow on Ebay (though I have) I just meant in response to your question if a bow was worth the money I just meant that odds are that your local shop is fairly competitive as far as price just because its easy in this day and age to pick up your phone and order a bow from cabellas or bps and have it the next couple days.
  4. I think they're all worth the money, we live in an Ebay age where the market demands the price to be competitive, and there are too many quality manufacturers to list.
  5. Unique is right, that was pretty cool. Lucky nobody got hurt. Was good to save one though.
  6. Welcome to the forums. Don't know about needing a print for a blind, its a box with windows lol. Usually have around 250 in materials in a 4x6 blind, treated 2x6 around the base and 3/4 plywood floor.
  7. Trash it, cloth cases are useless anyway. Just my experience, I want some protection when I put my bow in a case, otherwise what good is it?
  8. You're missing out, heart is great when prepared right, I'm as guilty as the next guy for pitching it but I've had some fine breakfast at camp with heart and rice and heavy and biscuits!
  9. No arrow, I'm thinking it was a shot like Tracey described. Too hot down here for a next day retrieval unfortunately. My lab also likely just pushed her further. We'll try again.
  10. True Dat, I don't know what Einstein came up with that theory.
  11. These are pretty easy and really filling: http://www.realtree.com/forums/realtree-chuckwagon/103256-new-one-i-just-tried.html
  12. Right behind the shoulder she said, almost a pass through. Said she heard bones crack. I don't know but the blood was impressive to start but got scarce quickly. We prob trailed for two hundred yards. Hated to see her lose her first, she's put in a lot of effort. But that's bow hunting.
  13. No doubt. Might as well be trying to post the deer on Facebook beforehand lol.
  14. Haha, I didn't even catch that, welcome back Randy, long time no see!
  15. Good luck Corey! Hope to see some good pics!
  16. I don't do a lot with whole roasts. I'll take them sometimes and slice them, pound the steaks a little with a tend hammer, then season, flour, and fry for a minute in hot oil just long enough get a good crust and throw them in the crock pot with some onion and cream of mushroom for a few hours. Serve with biscuits over rice. Good stuff.
  17. Thought I would be able to share my 14 y/o daughter's first bow kill last night but we ran out of blood. Started out great: But although the deer piled up at 40 yards it got the bleeding settled down and got back on the move. I felt bad for her, but just gotta get back on that horse and try again.

  22. Have fun Cody, haven't been to a pro game in many years. Be safe
  23. Great job William! Congratulations to the young lady. Nothing like our daughters having success in life as you well know! Good job Nicole!
  24. Yeah I get that Al, but I know lot of folks on here will gut a hundred pound doe where she lays. I'm not knocking it, just saying it's unheard of around here as you know.
