That stinks William. Corn is a booger sometimes. Between the high cost of seed corn, diesel fuel, coons, crows, weather, replanting etc it's better to me to just go buy it lol.
Sure is good to have fresh corn though!
That's too bad William. I remember the girls having similar viral infections when they were young. Sometimes very high fever like that with absolutely no other symptoms. All you could do was alternate tylenol, advil as they could take it.
Well I can't run two in under twenty, and I sure wasn't close to five in school either, more like 8 probably lol. Never was a runner, don't guess I ever will be. Just trying to keep the heart rate up.
Yeah running is bad on the joints. I'm surprised shin splints haven't sidelined me but I've managed to stay injury free so far. I bought focus t25 thinking I could spare 25 minutes a day to get in shape, I only made it about six minutes in before my heart have out. That was 8 weeks ago. Not sure how far I can get into it now but will soon give it another go. I started out taking 15 minutes to go a mile but now I can run it in ten, I know that's pathetic but I'm short and stocky and never was much of a runner even as a kid. We'll see how things progress.
But I'm trying. Been running at least 8 miles a week, eating better too. Lost fifteen pounds last two months, got about ten more to get off. The last ones may have to be surgically removed. May donate a kidney. I hate running too!
tranistion?
Well the page food have a clean look about it, not sure how everything else will work, I'm sure it will be nice and glitches resolved.
yeah William I got a ton of stuff hosted on photobucket, most but not all of it I should have on pc somewhere lol. folks in general including myself put way too much faith in the cloud.
That really did happen to a few of us way back probably over 10 years ago. My profile was one of them, a lot of posts gone.
That sux William, no wonder your post count is so low!
Missed the post, but I agree I think we're losing sight of what the day is all about. Gone are the days of continent against continent with hundreds of thousands dying, now the numbers are much fewer, but may be a kid with a suicide vest in friendly territory that kills you. The constant news cycle with no apparent equivalent of "V.E. day" has numbed us I think. Asymmetrical warfare is the new norm, wars without victories or ends. Very sad.
I for one am very thankful I'm not speaking German. Thanks to all who have served and are still with us
Different situation but on the same topic. There was an older couple near hear years ago that had a pool. The pool was inside a locked wooden fence in the back yard. They had let some neighbors bring their children over a couple of times to swim. One day while the pool owners were away on vacation, the neighbors hopped the fence and used the pool. A child drowned. They were sued. Many months later the couple won but in the process were completely broke and lost the house as a result.
No way could I do that this day in time as we live in such a litigious society. I'm quite sure a jury would side with the guy if he had some eye injury or even claimed he had PTSD after the incident lol. Even if you won, the legal fees could be tremendous to defend yourself. Not sure what kind of device was used but sounded pretty loud. Would be bad if a kid was lost walking his way out and got hurt from shrapnel.
That being said, the guy got what he deserved. What I can't understand is when you realize that you just went through a trap, and after such a loud bang, I'd be making tracks out of there fast!
But on the way I passed through Louisville. An area I know well that was hit so hard by a tornado.
As everybody always says, pics don't do it justice, but this used to be a subdivision and now folks are just there mourning and feeling helpless.
Made me pause to think as I was pulling a new boat back with my girls laughing while these folks are not even starting to rebuild. Imagine total destruction 300 yards wide through neighborhoods.
Like Jesse's recent post reminded me, I'm a lucky man.
Good post Martin!
The illegal problem will never go away because of the job demand in this country that will never go away because we keep paying our own citizens NOT to work. We have entire communities of folks around here drawing disability, and when they get on it they get all the years of back pay from the time they first applied. Unemployment lasts forever, Medicaid benefits, the list goes on and on. Most of them are just too sorry to get off their fat @$$ and get a job.
Sorry but it's the truth. Too many would rather sit and draw 200 a week than work to earn 500.
And yes before anyone bashes me, I realize those are legitimate programs to those who truly depend on them lol.
Emily and I on the red carpet at prom
brought tears to my eyes. job well done! sitting here at work thinking about difficulties of home and here at work, reading this post reminded me how fortunate I am, and that there are much more important needs folks have every day.
God bless you.
