  1. Tink's #69 My husband was an avid hunter and fisherman too. Lots of the guys would take off during the entire hunting season, but he never did. He would get everything set up to go on weekends and start out early on Sat. mornings. Occasionally he would get home early enough to hunt in the evenings. I was sent to town to buy Tink's#69 every Friday. He was not satisfied with one large bottle, he insisted I get him TWO at least...the BIG bottles, not the small ones. It was hard to find back then. We had a Gibson's here and they are the only ones who carried it. Beleive it or not, there were NO Archery Shops around anywhere. Red Dot
  2. Forgot to tell you I forgot to tell you I am not a Texan. I was born in Mississippi, married a wonderful man from Bush (where I live) in Louisiana, and have been here since 1954. My husband died August 22 of 2000, but I am a "wanna be" Texan. I love Texas!!!! I've spent a lot of time in Texas hunting. The deer there are smaller than ours here, but there are 50 percent more there. Hunting has not been good here since Katrina. I am still cleaning up after Katrina. Love to all, Red Dot
  3. Thanks Guys!!! Thanks to all of you for the BD greetings. I don't feel 71 years old!! I still do all the things I did at 30!!! I love bowhunting and bowfishing! Thanks Tink for all the photo's you posted. To the hog I killed with a knife!! We went to this hunting property with the owner, he turned his dogs loose and they caught this hog....one dog one each ear. I jumped onto the hog and stabbed him with the knife you see in the photo. When I turned the blade, his blood sprayed into my face. I looked like I been spray painted. It was REALLY fun!!! Love to all of you. You see, I am 71 and I can get away with telling you all I love you!!! Red Dot

  5. Mechanical broadheads As some friends and I were walking through the woods in Illinois, we found a 12 pointer that had been dead for a few days. He was shot with a mechanical broadhead that did not open. WHAT a WASTE!!!! Red Dot
